Picking game pups.

Hi all ,
First of all big up from little old Ireland .
My question is from what I see so far just because two game dogs are breed together it don't mean all the pups are game , what characteristics am I on the look out for .
As you can see by my question I'm new to this but not dogs I can tell a protective Germany Shepard pup from a litter looking out for pray and play drives , courage and personality tests so on , but not sure about pits.

The one who don't look away when you look them into the eyes, who don't get scared and run away when you throwing your keys inbetween them, and yes it must be a happy pup as well.

You can't tell by looking at a pup if it is game. You just can't. There have many shy but very game dogs and many out going dogs that were not. And vice versa. It is intangible.

 

At what point does this come out in a dog ?

 

When the dog has to prove it's gameness. When being tested... Look into the definition of gameness.
