Maybe so. I would say 5 as an absolute, 10 highly probable but after 10 he is 50 and things go south at a faster rate.

But at the same time MacGregor would be mid forties so his lesser skills would diminish at a faster rate.

I would agree but it would be for the greater diminishing of Connor's skills at 45 that Floyds at 55.

Great subject to speculate on as I am still thinking it will never happen.

That is around $9k right there.

Another reason why one will buy a very expensive pup while not being able to afford to fix up there leaking radiator is because some feel they are a investment to try and peddle pups of there own like T.G. LOL............Craigslist classified> 11 ADBA papered pups 7 females and 4 males both parents off of T.G. bred dogs $1k. LOL

The funniest part is odds are those pups at that age are sold/being held with deposits.

Forget what he is selling. Forget our passion about the dogs. Just see it from a business perspective. They guy is a freakin' genius. Once upon a time it was $500 for inbred Frisco pups. When that faded another line was bought/introduced. Just enough Frisco to lay claim. Crossed them up. When they worked out and did big things they were bought/brought back. Several lines to meet everyone's preferred taste. He may not know where every puppy ends up but the ones that can perpetuate the line/family and or family business end up coming home. The cycle continues. The puppies are now $1500-$2000 and even more for some of the super duper inbred dogs.

Again, most are spoken for before the 2nd vaccination.

Name a business where the product not only sells itself, but the customers do all the work to perpetuate the business?

Exactly. I have seen a number of his dogs I really liked. I have a little shot of Kronos blood in my dogs via Bulldog Hill.

The Cottingham breeding in the original post I like a lot. Not $3000/more like, but I do like Red Boy and Red Boy strains.

Ch. Caballo was around these parts for awhile (Dynomite). Ch. Caballo would make most anyone want a Dynomite bred dog. All the while there are internet debates on how Dynomite is really bred. While people type away other people are running up that drive way with a fistful for money.

When Frisco sired his 20,000th puppy (just kidding) people were still racing up the drive.

The guy has it locked down. I can't see myself sprinting up the drive with a handful of money. And that is for any number of reasons. With that said I'm not going to trash on the people that do nor am I going to cut on the guy taking in the money by the bucket full either.

I have said before he should be teaching a marketing/business strategy class at an Ivy league school.

I went to meet guy who did dogs way back, was no longer in the dogs but was really helpful when I was using a turn table. My second reason for going was to see one of the pens TG uses.

Third reason was just to hear everyone talk about the one they had at home. LOL.

I can agree I did not go to see TG.

I know who you are talking about truly one of the BEST and knowledgeable dog man that I met years ago left a big impression on me, last time I talked to him was about his big turn table and where was it at and I told him it was in storage at a friends house still in original condition CHEERS!

  12. TG is the man. I never met him, but in a few ways, he is the reason I have bulldogs. His stuff has obviously done well enough in someone's eyes to be worth 2500. Demand is high, so he makes good money. Don't hate, appreciate. I love how dog men online like to down talk dog men who pave the way for them. Lol

  13. If u went to his house to eat and talk, you went because of HIM lol. Bottom line. It's a shame how someone can eat in your damn yard, look at your hounds, smile n your face, AND BREED YOUR DOGS lol. N still go home and talk down on u lol.

Funny...I tried to see his dogs. We walked to the gate and he told my buddy he didn't have time to see the dogs. I asked for 1 minutes to see the first dog pen there to see the corners. He said, "Next group thru in about 45 minutes". I said, "fair enough".
It was 99F that day but felt more like 125F. At forty minutes the line was 25-35 people deep and only going in in groups of 10-12. He has nice dogs. He has an awesome set up. He is a great marketer and business man. I give him all the props and all the respects.

But I would not stand in line over an hour in that heat to see his dogs or anyone's elses for that matter.

I ate his food and complimented him on what he had going on and thanked him. I asked could I pay for what we ate. He politely declined.

At the end of the day if JY was not going to be there I would have passed again this year. Like every other year and more than likely next year too.

I'm a big fan, moreso for what he has done and what he continues to do, much more so than his dogs.

I guess I just don't pay attention these days as to what others are doing or why they are doing it. If your an American and you truly believe in freedom then how can you knock another man's hustle?. What TG does don't affect me at all, nor did he pave the way for me in any way, shape or form. I don't feed not 1 dog with his name in their pedigrees. Personal preference is all, nothing against him. He does sell a ton of dogs but I couldn't knock him on that as that is what he chooses to do and since it's his perogitive and a free country still, sort of, I'd rather just mind my own buisness. Like slim already said, he is a marketing genius. I can't help but to give him props on being able to sustain such a large yard in today's times and still be a very successful breeder of gamedogs. The man has done more for preservation of the breed than anyone of us on this thread have, combined...
I still wouldn't buy a dog from him but that's just me. If I wasn't somewhat connected and had no where to go to get a true APBT, his doorbell would be the first one I'd be ringing. Never meet the guy, spoke with him or feed anything from his yard but under different circumstances I honestly can't say that I wouldn't go to him if I had too. Fortunately, I dont.
