LOL yea ppl get lazy when its hot and humid but, its NOT miserable weather in nov-dec when it is in the northern MW. we are not talking August weather. BTW It gets humid in the MW also. We are not talking a USC going to the dirty south in the middle of the summer. I understand your point but, to me it is apples and oranges. Living in socal I get cold when its 50 and bitch about it.

It is what it is.I got a buddy , when it rains or gets cold he ain't coming out of the house.I can't stand that shit, we make plans to hunt or fish and it rains and he shuts her down.I still go , no matter the conditions.its all about time for me , I dont have the spare time to work around mother nature so when I get time , just doesn't matter about the weather.

I think the weather plays a role. Not an excuse but more of another obstacle and in turn preparing for that obstacle.

It is more than if so and so was in the SEC or so and so played a Big Ten schedule. Move the entire football operation from one place to another. It is the preparation for the weather and how the weather dictates game plans. Alabama and Clemson play like Alabama and Clemson year around. Speed and misdirection. Michigan and Wisconsin have a stretch where there game plan is dictated by the weather and a lot of the practice time as well.

Then at the end of the year the Michigans and Wisconsins and the other brutal weather universities have to not only employ a different plan they have to figure out how to stop it.

But at the end of the Dayna d to use a Hoosiers basketball reference, the fields are 50 yards wide and a hundred yards long. For everybody.

Not that NC is brutally cold for stretches but I like the cold weather.

Maybe if we got it for weeks and even months on end I would change my mind but for a couple three days at a time I like it.

Last week it was 0 on Sunday. Wind chill between 5 and 10 below. Snowed as the temperature dropped and then froze for the next two days.

Five days later on Friday it was 74 degrees. I dropped the Carharts and cover-alls and worked outside in a T-shirt.

    NC weather at its finest.

I look at Rivals and Scout as the leaders of evaluating the young prospects of tomorrow. The top 25 list I posted above is from Rivals.I would prob rank Rivals 1 and Scout 2.They are both very close. 9 of the past 12 teams to finish number 1 in rivals played for a national title within 3 yrs and 7 won the title.

Not college but the Super Bowl was a perfect example. 7 minutes to go in the 4th. If Matt Ryan takes 3 knees and they punt at the end of the play clock on their last 3 possessions. They have zero yards, they look stupid, the stadium erupts with boos, the true football fans vow to never watch another football game and then they have a World Champion's parade in Atlanta.

Play calling and game management is the worst it has ever been in the history of the game. At every level.

The irony of all this.Alanta OC is now the head coach at San Fran.Who does Atlanta hire as thier new OC ? Steve Sarkesian , yep the same OC that called the plays for Bama in the national title game vs Clemson after Kiffin was gone.lol

I know. At some point the recycling should stop.

Sarkesian runs the ball ten more times and Bama wins the title. Even after Scarborough went out Clemson struggled against the run. It has to be some sort of penis check to prove we can do whatever we want, even if it is in spite of winning.

The only good part of the come back was I hit for $250 on the pool at the plant. At least there was bright spot in the shitty commercials and the collapse in the 2nd half.

Slim the relationship between Saban and Sark got off to a shaky start. From my understanding Saban didn't like Sarks views on the direction the offense should go.Saban also felt the circumstances would be much similar to the relationship he had with Kiffin.Saban didn't want a double dose of Kiffin lol.

I can believe that. Saban's best teams have had dominant offensive lines and they run the ball. I sort of believe his offense was a tad more open than Les Miles. My mind just went blank but the OC prior to Kiffin ?????? but I thought they were just open enough to keep 9 out of the box. I thought Kiffin went too far at times, passing the ball to make a point or a statement.

Atlanta did not have to take a knee but inside runs with nothing to the outside and punt. There is simply not enough time left to score twice with only two time outs.

Play calling is at an all time low.

Can't recall his name but he is the University of Florida OC.We had him 2 years ,he was there when Bama beat Notre Dame for the National Title.

When you build a game controlling smash mouth defense on one side of the ball you can't throw the ball all over the place and put them back on the field in a minute or so.

I think when Alabama is hurt by the running QB it is when the offense puts them back on the field. They play at such a break neck pace running the ball gives them a break.

In Atlanta's case running the ball would have killed the clock but at the same time kept Brady on the bench. A double whammy for the Patriots.

Best Alabama spring game Ive saw since Saban has been there.Jalen Hurts looks much improved with better touch on deep balls. The freshman QB Tua from Hawaii looks the part.Threw 3 tds and over 300 yds passing.I think this guy is going to be special.Russell Wilson type ability.

I read about him this morning. I did not see him play. Two Alabama alumni has him ahead of Hurts according to the article. He must be good.
