Black & tan

I had the pleasure to meet 2 black & tan APBTs on one day!
I know just those 2 and they are crazy, not only to other dogs, in normal life totally nuts too... Wonder if it's the color LOL

Are they litter mates?

 

In the March 2014 issue of Sporting Dog Journal the had a article on Black and Tans that stated they are better than the average dog. There is something special about them and they have a way above average record.

 

I don't know about Black and Tans record I think good and bad in all colors.I have a male that throws the color ,he is red.

@ bamaman I am curious, if black & tans throw black & tans in every litter or if this color isn't dominant in reproducing.

 

My dog is capable of throwing Black and Tan ,his mother was red like he is but she carried the Black and Tan gene and his father was Black and Tan.From what I was told both parents need the Black and Tan gene to produce Black and Tan .But we all know throwbacks is possible.And no he won't throw them in every litter ,just when bred to bitches that carry the gene.

 

Thank you! I know dogs who both carry the gene but had none black and tan pup in the litter.
For some dogs I wonder where they have it from... It just occurs and you can't find one black and tan dog in the dog's ped.
