Who didnt see that coming. Good grief. This is exactly why fences dont work for bulldogs! Got extremely lucky the bulldog didnt get a hold!

Just goes to show: a professional trainer isn't always a "professional" trainer.

the guy did a great job with the dog. that shows how well the dog does w/ distractons. True the bulldog should have been secured but the trainer handled it very well...

oh yeah his dog was well trained. if you train your dog right you can stop a fight that way intstead of with a break stick etc.

I dont see anything wrong with that. other then that they didnt have the bully on a leash in the first place. he was merely testing the dog around distractions.. and he and the dog were great. in fact the little spat and him downing the dog for an extended period while he held an aggitated dog is a great touch. I personally would work with the guy. I think his dog performed imacculently.

Now had it been a bully on both sides of the fence it would have been WAYYYYYYYY different...but as is, it was small eror in judgement on the side of the dogs owner that is standing in the fence with the dog. becuase now the dogs knows he can jump tat fence, and is likely to do it again if he is excited. plus he has just had a squabble and if it was his first it will probalby turn him on, so from there I see errors that the bully owner made but the traininer was fine.

Being a trainer, he should have had the sense to NOT work his dog where two bulldogs are running free on the other side of a 4-foot fence:(

  13. I saw his point though. It is hard(?) to train a dog to do things with such a big distraction (dogs near by barking, etc). He was attempting to show how well-trained his dog has become and in my opinion, he (trainer) did a very good job. Furthermore, The trainer obviously did not attempt to use "commands" on the apparent APBT as these will ultimately not work with them.

I agree the Mal is very well trained, especially with distractions, however his lack of knowledge of the bulldogs could have resulted in serious injury to that beautiful Mal...not wise IMO.

But on the same note.. why were 2 bulldogs running around together on the other side of the fence in the first place??? Notice how they directed their drive at the Mal and not each other.....

Right on the money again, because the owner doesn't get it I suppose. Yes I did notice the directed drive at the Mal and not each other, what do you figure?

hmmm....maybe because the APBT's know each other and the Mal is an outside dog......

man ive seen dogs hold on command and not do anything if a dog doesnt listen its because it wasnt trained well enough. bull dog or not. hes got his dog trained very well id let him work with mine no problem as long as he stayed away from that yard lol.
