    Hello.
I Feed my bulldog just RAW.
So he gets Meats Bones liver Kidney and liver.
Do you think its a good idea to give him Rice or Oats to get him more powerfull and for gaining weight?

I always feed raw also. venison cause I'm friends with a taxidermist, chicken legs and thighs bone in, kelp powder 1 raw egg a day and when the venison runs low, I have a slaughter house near by who sells ground up cow brains/stomachs and scraps. Never had a problem with keeping on weight. Fat has 9 calories per gram whereas Carbs(rice) is only 4 calories per gram.

you need to be careful not to feed too much liver , it can cause vitamintosis which is an overload of vitamin A, fatty meat will put weight on him better than rice

    Ok thank you.
I read a Lot about raw feeding here and a lot of members feed rice. Why? maybe because its cheaper or are there other reasons?

Yeah it's a cheap way to add calories to your dogs diet, also it's a quick burning carb , good for a dog that does a lot of road work, also binds up a lot of water in the digestive tract, so it helps prevent loose stools. I only feed it to pups and sick dogs.
