    Aww, totally forgot about the hog injuries. They do usually were protective gear, however. (Those piggies are nasty!!)

    First I would like to say I am amazed at the administrators ability to go back in time and figure out why this breed of dog was created. Who would have thought the AR nuts were right, this is a breed for degenerate gamblers, by degenerate gamblers. HSUS was right all along it is only about money. It has nothing to do with the rebellious american spirit, overcoming insurmountable obstacles, surviving when survival is the only goal or just something to distract you from the daily hell. For some people setting one down is as close to a religious experience they will ever come. I never saw Jesus walk into certain death, but I have seen a few dogs give me an idea of what he sacrificed. But hey Vicki says it is all about gambling so that is what it is.

    The administrator has been studying the history of this breed for almost ten years and has a very nice collection of historical pieces.

    If you read books by, say, Stratton or Colby, you would see that gambling is a very prominent factor in the APBT's history. Why else would a fighting dog be created? For the fun of it? The challenge? Umm, no. There would be no money to be made and who would give a shit? What would the spectators do? The fighting dog was evolved around gambling. Why do you act like it's a bad thing? It's just words.

    Rule 3: Referee to see the dogs weighed at time agreed on and if either dog is over top weight agreed on he loses the forfeit money.

    And finally, if you're going to debate me or anyone on this forum (I rarely post because of assholes like you), leave out the personal attacks. (Oops, I slipped). You might want to reread my TOS here.

    I was having fun with Sai, he makes me think, I also enjoy being the devil's advocate. But, hey, you just compared Jesus' death and dog's dying as similar. . .careful where you tread, the comparison isn't remotely the same. Show respect for other members' opinions, try paragraphing and punctuation in your posts.

    I'm no expert on anything so just looking for clarification but rule number 3 looks like it's from the cajun rules which were created in the 1950's. How does referring to that rule mean that the dog and the sport which have both been around since before the 1950's was created for the purpose of gambling?
