  2. For real though, if this dude comes with a lot of dough and finds the right dogman at the right time , he could cop a good hound, regardless of his experience and his intent. There are some people only in it for that almighty dollar."C.R.E.A.M. get the money dollar dollar bill yall."

Your a sitting duck for a peddler. You better not worry about what they ask but rather what they tell you, because they could shovel you a load of horseshit and you wouldn't know enough to refute it. And if you've never had a gamedog before your a noob.

If you are looking for a companion animal, rescue an APBT on death row! Most states have Pit Bull rescues with plenty of dogs in need. If you want to know the history of your rescue, you can start by reading about bulldogs from 19th century England! FYI, if you are curious to what questions a breeder will ask CALL ONE!

WHOCARES just gave me a whole new idea as to how to use the term FYI. Within the context of his post, I somehow read FYI as not "For Your Information", but "Furthermore You Idiot" LMAO.

Yes Tom garner last time I checked sold dogs to the general public you just need to have your money right to buy one the going rate last time I checked was 1200 and up not sure what he charges now. I guess you should research the breedings as he has quit a few of them a year and pick which pup you want and hope you get a pup off the correct breeding. I don't know if there's a personal interview to buy a dog these days but most people that don't sell to the general public want at bare minimum credible references before you even step foot on their yard. Colby pups from the Colby family last I heard they have pups available once in awhile and sometimes they have a waiting list. Your best bet is to find a kennel that will sell to the general public at this point as from what I gather you have money but are not an experienced dog handler that has connections to people who will only deal with people they know.

Most people either absolutely WILL NOT sell anyone a dog without references,in which case you're out of luck or will sell to ANYONE just cause they have money,in which case you CAN buy a dog. As far as questions,I put little stock into questions because lots of people both buyers and breeders alike are liars.Several aren't but I don't have a lie detector attached to my phone so there's no way of knowing. But regarding the questions, just the basics I'd want to hear if I was selling one would be why you wanted the dog and for what purpose, that would better let me know as a breeder what dog you needed for your situation. Have you ever had a bulldog before would be something else the breeder should want to know,do you properly contain your dogs, because I know for a fact I have refused to sell to people who sounded like a catastrophe waiting to happen. A good breeder should want to have their dog in a home where the new owner would like it and be happy, not just get your money and run, although that's exactly what several people do. I can tell you the biggest turn off is some idiot calling you, that you have ZERO idea who they are and start talking illegal stuff, can't hang the phone up fast enough on those people.Even if someone's not a cop,if they talk stupid to me,they will to someone else and the dog will get taken. Also the next biggest is "I got this whatever bred pitbull and I need to find her a buddy or looking for a pup to breed her to",lol Guess what I'm saying is sometimes the things you don't say is as important as the things you do. Be honest and upfront with the breeder on what you want and try and find a breeder that will also be honest with you, sometimes that's a hard thing to find especially if you're new to the dogs.
