  1. What are the best ways to break up dog fight?

    - Break Stick

What if you dont have a break stick? Here are a couple ideas:

    - Best available stick or tool readily available that can be used as break stick
    - Bucket of water or water hose
    - Grab dogs by scruf of neck and try and separate

Any other methods people can share?

I believe their is a thread on this subject already if you use the search function. At the same time this can't be repeated enough it is a important subject for beginners. So if you don't get enough info try doing a search.

Break stick or best available stick or tool that could be used. I've used a paint scraper before. You're going to be shit out of luck with those other suggestions.

If you're in the vicinity of a bulldog, always have a breakstick,no reason not to. The waterhose is really good for filling water tubs and giving baths, that's about it.

The best method is to avoid the incident all together.

2nd best would be a parting stick.

Like GH32 already stated, water is good for filling up buckets and baths, thats about it.
The try pulling them apart idea is not a very good idea either, you will just end up helping to add injury to an already injured animal, they aren't just going to pull off.

No reason to not have parting sticks around if you own this breed of dog.

as agk said, leave the water for ya buckets and baths, youll drown the dog before it lets go...lol..

I agree with bama, there are already threads with this topic. If we must add another, gh32 and agk said it perfectly! End of story.

Agreed! I have some that I can't get off their ropes and tires without a break stick I couldn't even imagine being without one during a fight. Break sticks are the safest way to part two bulldogs without adding anymore injury if used properly. Good Post AGK.
