No it doesnt pull it up further. But it doubles up on it instead. Not only will it double up on good traits, it will double up on bad traits too. So serious culling should be used. By the way you are breeding back for traits.. not dogs in the ped. Luck be with you!

I just recently did a brother/sister breeding from our old stock.
I thought as tight as it is, most likely be born dead from stock of 3 dogs born over 45 years ago.
Well, those pups came out thicker, stronger then the half brother/sister breeding.
I've had 3 nice family bred litters this year from the old stock. F..k, fight or hold the light, they want to be where the action is!
So never know, but you have to keep and cull.
Any males I couldn't keep I was going to put down. Lynn talked me into farming out some again and we will see.

I know those little bastards have such high prey drive they are pain in the ass when trying to ad bedding to their dog house!!!!
They don't care what is in their area, bags, cedar, you name it......

Oh man he is looking good bro. He is getting bigger. Give him green tripe so he'll grow faster.

  9. I like that green tripe but he eats a lot and that stuff ain't cheap. I need him to stop growing up and start growing out.

I agree with afb263. Also if you don't understand that now you are farther not closer to the dogs your breeding for I would not do the breeding. Think about it. With the pups whose parents are bro/sis grandad is now there great grandad. Don't breed for papers as dogs with untested parents will not come out like that grch in the 3rd or 4 gen

    First litter was July 13, 2013. Brother/sister.
Months older. Younger litter, male is coming Tuesday to your area.. That is the youngest litter.
The difference is, half brother/sister off the same male, the mothers were litter mate sisters.

I kept both of his other brothers and all his sisters for the one in the pic.. It is that litter which is the pain in the ass SOBs that I was out up in my ass in snow fighting them back from my pant legs, the bags/cedar, sled, etc. etc.
Sabong1 and that is the purest family of dogs in the last 50 years.
Look at him, you should see the brother/sister. Novices and peddlers are the ones scared of inbreeding or tight family breeding.
People need to keep and cull be a real dogman and have a kennel of dogs be a real breeder of these dogs.
Not a pet owner who has a couple of dogs, breeds and peddles.
These dogs today, from that family of dogs can complete anywhere in anything.
Real Pit Dogs produce real Pit Dogs and this is what this breed came from and the strain of OFRN.
If more OFRN dogs looked and acted like that pup they would restore their reputation.
That's the real deal fellas. :)

BTW did you get the message from Lynn?

Straight family bred down 2 proven bitches and proven male. It just worked. We tried others and some bred like it but we kept coming back to it when the day was done of culling. No ice has been used yet but I've got plenty.
I talked to my old friend Frank R. over in OH. he turned me on to a place that had a high percentage rate of success.

I'm working with a young fellow and if he is as game as the breed, he will be producing dogs that will stand against the world and hand out invites as his old prick mentor has done for so many years. lmao

Outdoors they don't grow straight up as fast. They have to keep their weight on for the cold.
Low maintenance attention, just a pat on the head and if you're lucky, you might get to keep your glove. lol
