working dogs and kids

Pre 76 how did people incorporate kids with the working side of the apbt without fear of being incriminated? Kids slip up sometimes or want to tell their friends secrets. I'm just asking out of curiousity, I don't do anything more than conformation shows with my dogs.

 

Idk cause I wasn't around lol I would be more worried about the big kids(adults), telling secrets...lmpao kids are the realist

I would wonder why anyone would have told the kids what they were doing. All they need to know is what they see; that you were keeping a few dogs. Any other signs could be explained away....JMHO....

 

I had a bad accident in front of my 6yr old once, I had a male and female going at it in the back yard while he was swinging on his swing. He has seen the dogs banged up a couple times, but I explained to him that the dogs attack each other sometimes just like people do and that we have to be extra careful handling dogs so we don't get attacks/accidents. He's been fine ever since, even though I don't recommend telling kids about it. In my case, he witnessed it with his own eyes, other than that, I wouldn't volunteer the information. JMO

 

This is just my opinion but my kids are around our dogs everyday they kno the roll of the baydogs and catch dogs and they kno dogs will tie up sometimes. My problem is trying to keep them out of the crap till I can get em sorted out. But they are always rt there to help! Im not saying just let em have it but if plan on having kids around dogs they shud kno how to handle situations that happen because chit does happen just a matter of when an I'd rather mine be prepared for it an kno what to do
