SBT elbow blow out?

I will be getting a SBT pup in 10 days he will be nine weeks old. I am sorta trying to plan out what his activities will be. I was talking to a breeder who competes at a high level of agility. He said that chucking tennis balls is not good for the SBT because of their elbows. I used to launch tennis balls with a tennis raquet as high and as far as I could for an hour down a 30 degree hill for my two larger amstaff x ambulls 3-4 times a week.

They would barrrel down the hill and barrel right back up it until they were pooped.

I am a little concerned about my dog getting injured due to the elbows.

    Any thoughts or experiences?

Are you getting a KC show dog or an athletic type Staff?

I've never heard about them having bad Elbows, my Staff loves to do stuff like that. I suspect your breeder friend didn't know what he was talking about.

Make a good flirtpole exercise is good just don't overwork a pup. Staffords can gain a fair amount of muscle so until he's filled out take it easy, all dogs take time to grow into their body and athleticism. Loose joints in a pup is probably what the breeder was leading to.

    K, ty

maybe it was just his dogs, they are pretty heavy and barrel chested.
Thanks for suggestions, flirtpole for sure!!
Ill be doing obedience and tugging games mostly until he fills out. Hanging off trees, that sorta stuff :) I hope he takes to the water for swim fetch.

What type dog(s) do you have b2b?
