Correct Way to Break Up a Fight Without Getting Bit?

I did a search and didn't find a specific thread about this. I've read other methods of breaking up scraps between non-bulldog breeds and broke up a few myself when I had GSD's and Boxers but in all cases, both dogs were mine and they would not redirect and bite me. So, I'd like to hear from people that have been there and done that without getting injured, and how they did it without hurting the dogs. Particularly how to do it with off leash or off chain dogs when one isn't yours and one or both are NOT bulldogs.

 

let em fight for a few minutes and wear themselves out before you try to get them apart, 9 times outta 10 other breeds will come out of hold anyway so its just a matter of a few moments before you get the opportunity to separate them.

 

1. Grab them by the nuts and squeeze them as hard as you can
2. Take a lite cigarette and put it out on their a#% hole
I have never tried these methods and never will but you can give it a shot and hit me back and let me know how it worked out for you.

 

Dogs that hold , you need a break stick. For dogs that dont hold you can use a leash, that simple.

 

Kick the fuck out of them? I usually just let them stop on their own, most other breeds are snappy dogs. Grab, let go, grab, let go. They usually stop pretty quick and dont hurt each other.

depends on what kinda dogs, if my mutt gets into it with another mutt i will not even get my hands close to the other dog, i just hold mine by the hips gentlly enough to let him keep his power and eventually the other dog gets tired of getting his ass hiped when he keep running in for more, if its to bullies i ill usually hold mine arnd under his chest when they break free i get inbetween them. alotta people try to yank there bull dog off cause more damage.
i agree with JTC let em roll if their mutts and theyll usually stop quickly

 

if your dog is a bulldog then keep a break sick with you but if they are shiteaters a good ol .22 will work

let them go if they are not bulldogs because you don't want to interrupt the scatter biting match lol because you will probably will become a statistic lls and this video what the hell this is why bulldogs aren't for everyone respect the power of the breed man it doesn't matter how they are bred or raised in certain situations all bulldogs or bull mutts will crank it up get a break stick and be responsible if you know you are gonna be around other dogs you will still be welcome at your local dog park smdh! thumb in the ass what the hell!

In general, a break stick along with a leash works well. This is the method that I like, and it works even if you are alone. First thing's first, if it is a bulldog and a cur (every breed that isn't a bulldog), let them fight for a few minutes and then when you have a chance, use the leash and clip it onto the cur's collar. If the cur doesn't have a collar, take the end with the clip and put it into the loop of the handle. This will make a lasso. Lasso the cur by its neck and then when you have the chance, tie the end of the leash onto a pole, fence, etc. Chances are, the cur will try to run from the bulldog while the bulldog will keep on holding on and the chances are good that they will eventually run near a fence, pole, or something in which you can fasten the end of the leash that is now around the cur's neck. After that, you use the break stick and get the bulldog off of it.

 

Ill reply to this one as i have somewhat expierence with this.
1.Grab extra leash, and loop it around other dog
2.look for something stable (tree,pole),
3.Drag the dog and secure it to the stable object
4.Get in back of your dog and use a breaking stick if available, if not wait till dogs get a better hold , it will happen.
5.Take your dog home and clean up
6. Optional lol, look for dogs owner ........... and kicks his/her @
