Here's a link to my Photobucket album. The password is "Chipley"

Out of respect, I do not post pictures with people and their dogs, it is a dog show, after all. With that said, I may have your picture, but you were cropped out. If you would like to know if I have any pictures you may want that were not posted in the album, just let me know, via PM. Thanks and enjoy!

OJ got a 3rd in Saturday morning's CH of CH show! He was quite bored with the whole show routine...

Anyone who received a trophy at the show. Your name and or kennel name, your dogs registered name and the city and state your from. Was printed in the chipley Florida paper and on Facebook. She gave the newspaper all the information cause she said it's good publicity. Thankfully we didn't win any trophies. We still will not be attending any adba shows.

Its names and cities. I feel like everyone is blowing it a bit out of proportion. You think anyone who wants information about you is getting it from a shitty little towns newspaper? I guess it wouldnt bother me much but different strokes for different folks.

you don't think someone who wants to find you bad enough can't find you? and you think if they really wanted to find you they would use some dog show results for some confo trophy you won? i don't think a city and state is that big of a deal. if you want to remain incognito, don't attend or compete in a PUBLIC event sanctioned by a NATIONAL registry that keeps all that shit on record. or post on public forums. or post dog stuff on Facebook.

Well when the adba says they don't give out personal info, and she gives it to the paper. That's pure fucking bullshit. Me posting about my dogs is completely different. It's called an invasion of privacy. No where in the adbsi rules does it say your personal info may be given out. So who the fuck is she to give it out? She could have atleast asked the people first. If you don't see the point in it then this conversation is pointless. If you went and put your car into a car show would your info be put in the paper? No not unless the reporter asked you.

The ADBA has a strict policy about giving personal information to 3rd parties. I did speak with the ADBA. And they were not happy about it. And I hope they take action. Otherwise they would be condoning it. Not to mention it is against club bi laws.

It is a small town however it is also online. And has been posted on many websites and passed and shared on Facebook. It included registered dog names, first and last names and city and states. You do not do that.

When I called the president she said yea she did it. Sue her. That was here response.

Exact words of the ADBA was an invasion of privacy. I have spoke with 3 people whose names were publish and it was without their permission.

When you go to this event you register your dogs. You do not give the club permission to release it to the media. It is an event open to the public. But your personal information is private.

While I truly do not believe that it was done maliously. But it was a lapse in judgement.

The city of Chipley has been very supportive of our dogs. And gave the club a good bit of money to help advertise. But this was a bit far. And because of it I will no longer support the club.

i understand that it was wrong of her to do. sure, if i'd won something and my name and city were printed in a paper i probably wouldnt be very excited about it. her intent was not meant to be negative. it was a bad mistake. i believe letters of apology are going to sent. the damage is already done. severe name-calling doesn't help anyone. don't get me wrong, i'm not excusing the mistake, but good grief!

I realize that was not her intent.

However when I called and spoke with her at noon today and asked her she was not nice at all and was a bit snippy. Her exact words were "yea I did so sue me". Does not sound apologetic at all. I also spoke with other officers of the club and they knew nothing about it. So it was not discussed before it was done. It reflects bad on the club as well as the ADBA. Destroys faith that they will keep info private.

While like I said I know it was not done maliously. And the city and the club were trying to promote the breed in a positive light. Which they did a great job except for this. It was a HUGE mistake and a complete lapse of judgement. Which could have reprocussions.

With this breed you do not have to do "anything" to be targeted. You just have to own multiple APBTs. It is more than if I won something. People have had their dogs confiscated for nothing. The past president of the GA club have had Norred and assc snooping around their yard because he was the president of an ADBA club.

There was an incident a few years ago in AL. A local paper was doing positive stories on "pit bulls" and then a few months later used that info to target those same people when they were calling for bans.

What if local people would have placed. Their info out there. Which can open them up to all sorts of things.

Sad really you would think that it would be common sense to get people's permission before releasing their name and location to the media. Then posting it and sharing it all over Facebook.

When you place at an ADBA show the dogs registered name and owner's name is printed in the gazette. That reaches far more people than a small town paper. If you are on Facebook, you probably have your location listed. If you don't, it's not exactly like anyone would be hard to find, especially when you play on the world wide Web.
