Crate Fans?

Hey guys I was wondering for those of you who travel with their dogs in crates or show them and have them crated in the heat what fans do you recommend to keep them cool in the summer when it gets really hot ? I have looked at 2 but the reviews I read were not very good I am looking for one that will get the job done but also last. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Get a tent at sams or costco.

 

No I don't need a tent lol I am talking about crate fans for when the dog is traveling in the car or will be outside in a crate in the heat at a dog show. People use them to keep the dogs cool I just am wanting info on the best crate fans out there that work well. I am looking at a few but I wanted to see what other people are using before I buy them.

 

yeah being in a tent in the summer heat is like instant bliss, oh wait no it isn't, it sucks actually.

LOL Thanks the real judge I was hoping Boogie would chime in here I figured he would know I appreciate it. I just don't want to waste my money on garbage I want to get fans that will uphold and last for a minute and keep my dogs cool when traveling.

 

Make sure you have an easy up for shade. I take a 100ft extension cord and take house fans. Those pos fans you hook to the front of crates are useless. Make sure and take a multi plug adapter also. 3 or 4 fans usually won't trip a breaker as long as you have a good cord.

 

Nice Thanks B! That is what I needed to know I saw a lot of bad reviews I was looking at the ones you hook on the crates that were battery powered and didn't know if it was worth it. I will do what you suggested!

 

Listen to Boogie he's right again. lol Some of the cheaper house fans are plastic and will break blades if they get knocked over. You can get small metal shop fans that work good to and arent to bad on the price.

 

I've used the ones that hook on the crate they do suck my dog's usually bite the tabs off that hook on the crate,wal-mart sell these little black circular fans that I use

 

yep a good ol box fan works great and it also helps keep flies from buggin your dogs

These are great!!! I have a Blue Point version of these at our shop and they move a load of air and small and fairly cheap. One set about four feet out from crate door should cover two dogs well. If using two one could create an air flow setting crates and tent area up correctly. Id keep one of these per every two dogs. As well take plenty of is and water, keep dog misted with water and they will cool down easier.

those black fans work really good I use them for the crates and when I mill my dog's

 

I don't know about the dogs but the stanley fan works on me.10' cord, multi plug, powerfull it is great.

 

Or you can buy a trailer and custom build the inside, add air cond, put a 4k watt generator on it, and all is good! LOL Just a little more expensive than the fans though.

 

Boogie u gonna come build it for me ? Lol I can get the trailer but you have to customize it just like yours lol I am not very good with the hammer and nails unless I am after someone lmfao jk
