I Agree, the complete package is the Ultimate and what you would want for a great Match dog, I was talking about gameness or lack of........

Obviously you must be just another person in the crowd. Everydog will quit and thats that, its just a fact ppl have to deal with. Doesnt make the dogs any worst they still braver than any other breed.

I done nothing different than any one else's done. I was talking about a time in the early 1970's, before the 1976 animal welfare act. You guys need to change the name of your forum.

Not all dogs will quit if so there wouldnt be deadgame dogs. Though you could make 99.9% of all dog quit. If you don't think so-look at them every day and a day will come they won't want anymore. To those misguided souls that think there are no degrees of gameness shame on you. A 15 min wall jumper is alot different and has alot less game than a dog that quit in 2 plus hours.

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

somehow a 15 minute wall jumper sounds like a out and out cur to me..... unless it was 9 months old meeting a sherman tank

IMO, Gameness is the One thing that seperates this Breed from any other Breed......Odviously, their are differant degrees of "heart" I call it, within this breed, as most have limits, as their are more dogs that are not game, then dogs that are game.......as far as a dog that quits in 15 min. compaired to a dog that might quit in 2 hours, that would really depend on reasons why either dog quit and what was happening within that time.....a good example was already given, my thoughts are, he came across a Real dog........curs are in all Breeds, also, some cur Breeds can also have differant degrees of heart, not just Pit Bulls.......as I have already said, you need to know your dog and his limits and unless REALLY pushed to certain limits, you don't know if he's game or not......IMO they are either game or not, their is no list of degrees, and if you believe that, one day your dog may be a 10 or whatever, and the next time, he could be a -0 depending on what he ran into.......to me, I would rather not say, my dogs alittle game or whatever, it either is, or not.....as I also already said, the Ultimate, is the complete package, as that would make the Best Match dog, a dog with Heart and Ability.........to those that truly believe all dogs will quit, your sadly mistaken and definetly selling the Breed short.........A game dog will NOT quit, Reguardless of circumstances, and a cur will quit everytime if put in the right situation..........it's not that it's differant degrees of gameness, it's differant degrees of Heart or lack of......

Then why the hell would one come up from the bottom after 3 hours and win (which looked very game), then next time on a hog he quit in 12?? Did he lose some of that so called gameness????? Some people see 3 hr of ear suckin and think wow he was a game one. Thats kinda sad.

this bashing shit gets old. somebody asked a simple ass question. everybodies got their opinions. and most every game pit owner is stubborn like their dogs,,,and will stick with their opinions. whether they're right or wrong.

  20. I can surely see this story as true. A dog has feelings, all dogs. A dog attached to its owner will perform better than a dog treated like a property. In other words, if Fido is treated like part of the family (Pack), it will perform readily and to its max. If the same Fido is treated like nothing more than property (i.e. kept in a cage or chained without care (or human attention)) it will perform but not to its fullest.
