many say Lukane was a more well rounded bulldog than mayday on all accounts including maydays owner Victor whom used it as a sales pitch as the grandchamp was producing bulldogs better than himself...

Catchweight is each weight you want.
Of course it is harder to decide to put smaller dog in 4x4 in catchweight because the question is if opponent is good as your dog but is much more heavier.

i always considered catchweight, the "unconditioned", natural weight off the chain. when i say unconditioned i dont mean out of shape.

  9. Catch weight is good for schooling i'll say

i always heard catchweight was you bring them in at a weight range..because GR CH tito was like 26 kg on a keep...

Everyone has a certain range they would call catchweight. But if the agreed upon weight is catchweight that means there is no agreed upon weight and dogs will be washed and pitted regardless of what the scale reads

Catchweight is like heavyweight in boxing... simple, again anything over 55 is catchweight...

catchweight is defined as "undefined weight in a sporting contest". so i take that to mean whatever the contestants come in at with no specific agreed upon weight, but there is historical precedence to set a limit or range.

There are catchweight fights in boxing from bantam-heavy weights. there is no minimum weight.

Well in dogs there is a minimum, which is 55... lol

I don't know I've seen dogs contracted at 57, 60. And I've also seen one go catchweight at 53

The will always be exceptions to the rule, but the rule is 55 and above is catchweight...

who made this rule? the same people that misused the word "literally", when they meant "figuratively", so much that miriam webster was forced to change(acknowledge) the definition? just because you think it means something doesn't mean thats what it is.
