LMFAO you getting mad over your own thread that you asked for folks opinions on. if your feelings get hurt this easy just bring them to westminster. don't you think your own eyes & common sense would of told you to breed to that cur that produce ch? or maybe breed the offspring of the ch to the cur that produce ch ? the first thing i learned was to trust what i see with my own eyes & use common sense. who i wasn't downing you bud only giving you advice on making your yard better. so you can save all your talk about going to your yard. because i know for a fact your green to dogs. bud i got old dogs i bred that were pups before you walked your first dog.

Anyone that knows me knows I'm not at all salty, sorry you read my words that way... lol I said I saw ch produce curs and curs produce ch, and your posting inbred bullyson dogs pretty much confirming what I 'm posting lol I told you to come see the dogs of my understanding... I'm not upset at all, I sent you my address and phone number, no call and your not on the doorstep?

The formula debate goes on!!! Inbreed on the crosses/ or breed pure to one side of the family after first cross, or click grandparents of like style dogs,

why on earth would i go half way across the contry to see your dogs? the simple fact you even made this thread tells me all i need to know about your understanding. i post thoes example because you asked to show inbred dogs that made rank. but you didn't take the time to really understand the methods used you missed the point. the real debate ain't online it's in your own yard.

Breeding is an art, not a science. What works with one gene pool may or may not work with another. If there was a formula set in stone everybody would be successful breeders........

I can see how one gene pool can react differently from the next, we have 3 directions to go this next generation or 2, and the possible ways to go are numerous, but numerous chain spots isn't there, we either going uncle neice or 3/4 under 1/2 cross male, making it a 3 way, sharing the grandsire 3 times, when you look at your peds and you see your blood crossed but still show your dogs traits do you inbreed on it or make it a 3 way, can't speak any plainer than that...... lol thanks for your time guys

Select the best male you can, breed him to a cousin strain female of top quality, breed him back to his 2 best daughters, breed the best male from each litter back to their respective aunts (the 2 original daughters of the male) breed the best male from each litter to the best female from each litter. At this point you should see several types of dogs produced that can be grouped into types ie. Tall and lean type vs. short and stocky type. Now you can select different breedings based on these types ie. Great uncle to neice, Triple crossing the original male through his great grandaughter etc...

I have used this formula before give or take a few slight changes here and there but the most important thing to remember is that you only breed the best of what you produce and if the formula ceaces to produce quality dogs at any point you must A) start from scratch B) introduce the main stud male your breeding around back into the formula C) introduce another cousin strain to add vigor or D) outcross completley to widen your gene pool.

    Just my 2 cents.

I like to line breed along a good family of dogs. Hunting dogs dont always produce the best if theyre loosely bred. Inbred dogs dont always perform the best, and need new genetic material to be competitive. Line breeding, a lil tight will at least give consistancy, and I research another family of dogs before I breed to anthing different.

thats my formula, write or wrong

Heres a linebreeding I did off some Garners LIL. Gator stuff

There were a cpl that won over good comp. I gave a cpl to a really good dogman & friend up north so I could see them reach their fullest potential, but I lost his phone number when I moved... I need to look him up and see how the 3 I gave him turned out.

Im currently looking at a Gr Ch. Blackjack (ROM) puppy. I plan on doing some Little Gator X Blackjack crosses, and I can tighten up on either side that I want when I see how they hunt.

This ones from the first litter that I ever bred. I owned both parents but didnt get credit as the breeder. The dad of this litter was my first game dog.
