Stifel dog. But like limey says. Work the shoulder and break them down systematically. Then finish off in the stifel close to the kidneys lol

a good stifle dog could get the stifle no matter how good the head dog was . they would scratch straight to it everytime . the head dog had to hang on to maybe come to the top if the stifle dog could finish it . but there was stifle dogs that was'nt as good as they think and that head dog could get him . the stifle dog need to be strong to get what he or she wanted . but 1976 is long gone and it's just thinking .

  3. yea mollybee im right with you,my foundation dog is a smart thinking dog great defense and offense, the type off dog that breaks a dog down to finish it all

stifle dogs are a smart dog, that put themselves in that position fast to get away from the heavy hitting around the head, chest & front legs.its a well known fact that many of them were not game, but there style is hard to prove them curs,as the dog knows he can dish it out without taking too much! himself/herself.unless you dog them hard one roll after the other until they show gameness,.i would never breed to one unless its a proven game stifle dog.

  5. hello 3596, interesting writting! what i am going to say its controversial but here it goes. we are all in the game of hunting dogs to hunt and hunt as fast and save as possible ( less risk better) what i mean it that if we could hunt and bring a walking dog home even better, who want to go hunt and get the dog so beat up that you cant hunt it again? i dont know if you can see were i am getting but i would breed a smart fast hunting dog ANYDAY over a slow dead game dog, if i have a dog that i shows he is a strong fast SMART hunter, he needs to get bred, if he passes down strengh, speed and smart and hunts likes hes daddy you got your self a real good start, what good does it do to have the games and to have everybody talking about how game your dogs are if you go home with a beat up dog and empty pockets? hunting dogs need to hunt, they canot be hunted, i dont care how game they are. if they die fighting the pigs they are not good hunting dogs, my opinion is that good hunting dogs are the ones that shoot out the hole fight the pig as fast as possible and get their job done, and fast and with less damage as possible, since the idea is to hunt them again. if one of this smart finishers turns out to be proven one day to be dead game, well that is great but i dont need to roll the shit out of them to find out, i really dont need to find that out at all as long as he is getting his job done. can i be right ?

  6. how can one edit a post? anyways i ment empty cages (no pig), i was doing something else and missed type one word ! excuse me!

To make sure I know what the subject is, the discussion is about dogs that go for the knee of the opponent? Then when people say deep in the stifle, they mean the thigh as it intersects with the belly? If one dog is in the stifle, would the other be in a position to work on the loin?

  15. kill the head and the ass will fall simple as that but like i heard early from one of you jus because you drive and touch the legs and kiss dont mean you gone whoop each other back to another sports reference but if im a running team and you a passing team and my d is built to stop the run cant stop the pass and i rush the qb good but dont stop the rush if i bite you all night in the stifle and you steady scratching then what if i ride the face or head and you steady touching my arms it dont matter you want a dog who can out game and out think the opponent i rather not have a driving dog cuz a good face wins i mean it hits you over you muzzle the same thing dat you use to bite my stifle ounce i take dat away its sure game i want a finisher who kills not out game but my people put me on this style of play but the style he hates has blessed him with the style with a very crippling bite so find a good dog and jeep was the best

Face/mouth dogs are good because they can take away the opp bite however this can be countered!...some hounds bite so hard that it doesn't matter where the opp bite because once they put their mouth on u they will cause a great amount of damage to where ever they lay it!....ch panda was a devastating mouthy bitch!!!....all who seen her said she had the hardest mouth they ever seen!!

I Think Mongoose should be thrown out there, he broke everything he touched and if he got to the back end it was time to pay up. Buddy's Pepper swapped front to back and would get in deep and try and remove the hind end to finish, she produced a couple who did the same. Smith's Tipton Rose loved the back end and would make knuckle bone sounds in the knee, when on the receiving end it was hard to watch but she quit in 2:14 on all fours after the other charge made a game game scratch dragging her hind end.

Many unknowns out there that given the chance could have beat the best of the best on a good day.

IMHO I don't agree with this from what I've seen. A head ace a dog like Comino who'se also game can break a hogs skull and muzzle with one shake and it's over, the hog can no longer bite and see, most quit at this time. Not an ear sucker but a skull crusher. But if you let a monster like Ch Zorro in one time he can break a hogs femur and artery and the hog is done in 30 seconds literally. All things equal I will take the game head ace most times, but in reality it usually comes down to the conditioning, if a hog runs hot you are done if you are going vs real comp.

and maybe the stifle dog will charge up and go head to head . what makes you think the head dog is going to get what he wants . only if your picking yes he can . any style can be beat . the one to look out for is the 1 who likes to get the muzzle . then your shut down . but that does'nt guarantee anything there either . the gamedog will win the longer it goes . if he's smart . and that's the best style i would think is the smart one .
