D.I.Y. Dog Trotter Kit 999.00

Discussion in 'Products & Equipment' started by G Force, May 4, 2011.

  1. I don't understand why folks are so concerned with a super free spinning mill ? as long as you get a few spins on one turn you are good to go. super free spinning mills (5-10 spins) is overkill, at that point your only working wind in an animal. work a dog on a super free spinning mill and the same dog on a dogtrotter and i bet that dog is stronger and faster off that dogtrotter than any other mill. if the dog needs that much work on its wind then you need new blood! you ain't making chicken soup out of chicken shit

looks the part but how heavy is the belt compared to the wooden slats on the original mills...at the end of the day thats the important factor..although these are nice

A mill need to be able to spin freely with some resistance on one turn. Many people have the resource to get a hog stronger by using a different form of activity (Eg. chain pulling, walking...). However, putting wind into a hog is a little more difficult due to the environment and many people relay on a free spinning mill.

Personally, i am happy with a mill that does 3 complete cycles

so would it be pretty easy to put this thing together? i'm good with tools in general, but i've never attempted any huge projects. i assume it comes with instructions? lol. cuz i'd def consider one of these if it's not too much trouble

i assume it comes with instructions? LOL I'm sure it does LJ. But if for some reason it didn't you could get your ole man to put it together. Everyone knows men dont need them LOL And for that price you should only need a few hand tools Steeldog.
