Ok, I don't know much about that disease but from what little I've read, it looks like that dog had it in the first pic (due to the skin problems on the muzzle, eyes, and ears) and over time the condition got worse. I don't think its neglect, but I could be wrong.

 

Damn that's fucked up. A good doggetting treated like an old street pit. That's a damn shame.

I agree 100%..............pointless drama. Doesn't do any good to talk about it except to create more drama. Makes us all look bad when one person screws up. We're all in the same category as far as the general public is concerned. If you ain't running a rescue or adopting pets you're the bad guy.

 

I hope whatever egos and agendas you folks might have will get taken outta the picture so this old dog can live out the rest of his days like he deserves.

 

Not calling anybody a liar or saying anyones right but that doesn't look like any case of Leishmaniasis I've ever seen but then again, I've never seen it on dogs, only humans. Well, whoever has him now, good luck with getting him better. I wish the best for you.

 

i don't agree jay. put their asses on blast, thats no way to treat any dog, let alone a legit worker that put in time for his owner. if anything it shows that people involved in this breed don't tolerate this type of bullshit.

My only issue is that there is no way to verify that anything the OP has posted is true. The condition of that dog COULD be a result of neglect but it could also be the result of health issues.

Therefore, posting it all over the internet definitely does nothing but make the breed look worse.

 

I dont see how it makes the BREED look worse, if it was a health issue and not neglect how would that make the breed look worse? afterall, all BREEDS of dog can have health issues so that wouldnt make the breed look worse..... However if it was neglect, it would only make the former CARE TAKER look bad for neglecting the dog... It wouldnt make the BREED look bad b/c now the present caretaker is giving the dog proper care.... NO? Ne which way you slice it I dont see how it makes the breed look worse... Just my opinions.

 

Man you really have it out for me today

I think that there are a lot of irrational people who are looking to destroy the breed. They use pictures like that to fuel their irrational fires. Keeping pictures like that on the internet only helps their cause. If they copy and paste a picture like that they DON'T have to take the post explaining things with it.

 

Nothing incriminating about those photos, so no reason to worry about someone copying and pasting those photos without explanations. also if you go to google images and search "dog neglect" you will find photos much worse than the ones shown of Kimbo. So what im saying is that if someone wants to make the breed look bad there are much worse photos of NEGLECT out there for them to use. As a matter of fact the pictures of Kimbo looking his worse, kimbo still looks much better than photos I've seen online caused by animal neglect. So your point is moot @ best.
