If you are in georgia, please get out and help vote no to BSL. This is NOT something we need in addition to everything else happening in the state of Georgia!!

Thanks for coming out. I looked online and saw us on TV. I am glad so many people showed up and I think we made a difference. A little disappointed from the lack of response from members on this board. I know there are some GA folks here.

I believe there will be another discussion September 30th before the October vote.

There were some people there that were very well armed with facts about BSL, cost to taxpayers, etc.

The general consensus was, lets do something about dangerous dogs and irresponsible owners regardless of breed, not just ban APBT's

I spoke, kept it short and wish I could have a do over.....

Does someone need to live in Douglasville to be able to come out, or is a Georgia resident enough. I'm in a neighboring county and do not want this to affect future legislation in my county.

thats a bit harsh, esp. seeings how there was only 9 hours notice. not everyone lives on these boards, many have obligations that require a fair amount of notice.

Thank you Rallyracer. I live in Georgia and they are doing a poll on our local tv station. I plan to respond to that and see what I can do locally. I need my job so can't take leave at the drop of a hat.

You do not need to live in Douglasville. The council took an informal raised hands to see who lived in Douglasville, but they allowed anyone to speak.

There are over 15,000 members registered here. This was posted originally on September 12th, 8 days before the meeting. I know there are quite a few from GA on these boards. Not one comment, not one hey lets meet before the meeting and have a plan. Thank goodness there were some people there that did have a plan. Maybe they watch these boards and just dont post... I was there more for a warm body and a big *&!@ NO if I had to.:D

I am not picking on any one person. I dont live on these boards either. Actually I really don't come by unless I have a question. The only reason I came by was cause I saw this on the news the night before. So I understand. This is local to me so its important.

We appreciate any support you guys/gals can give, email the council, show up etc.

I believe we need to find out what the original plan was, and see if we can attend the Sept 30th work session. Any ideas? I think we need to find out who some of these other people were that attended. That lady from Marietta who was a corporate trainer may be a good person to contact
