Oils provide energy for dogs... similar to carbs in humans. Carbs are virtually useless for canines.

I wrote about Fish Oil in a previous post. See below to learn more about Fish Oil.

A good bang for your buck oil to feed every day or every other day is Rex Wheat Germ Oil. This is pure wheat germ oil, not a blend like most others. You don't need much either because it is concentrated.

my dogs coat is very dry and dandruffy when playing ... a friend said to try solid gold fish meal ... he said the kelp seaweed and flax seed oil in it are really good for the coat and dry skin ... any opinions?

Coconut oil is good, its a MCT Oil. Its a fatless fat that is better absorbed , then stored by the body. Make sure you get the Extra Virgin Coconut oil because its processed cleaner and better to get the most benefits out of the oil. It is kind of expensive though.

I don't I keep it in with the spices in the cupboard. Coconut oil is highly resistant to spoilage and has a long shelf life about 2 years. So you do not need to refrigerate room temp is fine just make sure you seal the lid tightly when you close up the jar.
