need more people like her

I work at a furniture factory that is about to shut down,so i get moved around the factory on a daily basis and get to meet new people. And like most dog people, i love to talk dogs,but it really doesn't matter what kind of dog, if its dog i'm in!
Well today i was working with a 60 yr old lady and we start talking to pass the time and make hte day go by a little faster,so she starts telling me about her home life and how she just loves her little jack russel terrier and it goes on for a bit and i bring up the fact that the american pit bull terrier is my breed of choice,which to my suprise she say this and i quote

" oh those are beautiful dogs but i wouldnt own one, those are fighting dogs, that's the only thing they are good for,my neighbour owns a bunch of 'em and I walk my dog on a leash when i walk her, I dont want her running down to those dogs coz she thinks she is big stuff and will end up getting killed,those dogs are on chains but i don't take a chance with mine or theirs"

she then went on by telling me that she doesnt have a problem with what other people do with their dogs because thats their dogs and isnt any of her business.

Oh how I wish we had more people like her out in the world.

 

lol it was going good until she said "thats all their good for"..but on a serious note yes we need people like her who mind their own.

they good at hunting too.. and good for adding fire/hardness to other hunting breeds when used as a cross. just look at patterdales

Actually crossing the APBT into the Patterdale is ruining the breed for several reasons

1) I've heard hunters say it makes the dog too game and they are not even worth taking out to hunt because you will just get a good dog killed.

2) The increased size from mixing in the APBT causes the Patterdale to lose its ability (or reduces the effectiveness of it) of the dog to go to ground and work prey in a small tunnel.

Adding APBT basically turns the Patterdale into an above ground hunter - which at that point is no longer what the breed was made for.
