  1. yardboy i guess the pictures are decieving but the breeding that i'm doing isn't bully dogs at all. and they move just fine. and no the shoe doesn't fit on back yard breeder for me. i can call anybody that i guess if i dont like what they are breeding right? my dogs are treated outstanding they dont sit in the BACKYARD on a chain or in the BACKYARD in a kennel all day and all night and never get out. So who is the "BACKYARD" breeder? I dont run a puppy mill. I dont breed often. These are not the first dogs I've owned. I work for my paycheck so I don't need the money from the dogs. And yeah i probably could have guessed what responses I would get on here. But it's okay. Personally I don't understand how you can know my motives behind breeding just by seeing my website.

    hey blackbisquit

I know you are a real weightpull fan , but what is it that you need to see in a pittbull , before YOU breed with them ?

why have a website in the first place? seriously? there are no pictures of the dogs wins at shows, etc, etc, etc.
a vague website is one of the first signs of the peddler- bully or gamedog-it doesnt matter.
those who "dont breed often" and whom are breeding dogs worthy of being bred, do not need to advertise.

I don't give a damn what kind of dogs they are. You have two dogs, a male and female and want to call yourself a kennel. that's peddler 101. Do what you wish, doesn't affect me but you came looking for opinions. Hope you weren't expecting a pat on the ass and a good job

  6. BYB ?!!!!!! J.P. Colby breed his dogs behind his home at 36 Franklin Street, Newburyport and he is one of the greatest dogmen to this day.

Colby's book of the American Pit Bull Terrier page29

J.P. Colby's Pincher (welped 1896). He weighed 72 pounds when not trimmed down for fighting. "Newburyport's Famous Fighting Dog," and Louis Colby's choice for " the greatest dog that ever lived." with that said as a dog owner you make the choice about what TYPE of dog you want on your yard. The AKC breeds for conformation UKC for purpose. I have friends with four figure GR CH PR conformation dogs both AKC and UKC but they are house dogs. I would love to see them in the woods on a wild hog to see if they still have what they need to make it back home. I have nothing against show dogs or weight pulling those are good activities for the dog. what you do with the dogs you pay for is your buisness so dont knock the next man or woman for what they have

backyard breeder isn't a literal term. Of course many dogs get bred in a yard. You're an idiot.

I'll second that Naustroms........... To the OP, you swear up and down you're not a BYB but it doesn't sound like you understand what a BYB is. And still you have yet to give a good solid reason to breeding. I have to assume if there's not a set purpose then the intent is only to make a few extra bucks and be able to say you breed dogs. I'll give you an example: my last bitch I got was free from a friend off a ch male. I was given the dog because the litter was huge (12) and the breeder couldn't keep all of them and wanted the ones he couldn't keep close by. The breedin was done to a select male who was proved worthy with the intent of adding more dogs to the breeders yard. You haven't given any reasons for breeding. And I know it's hard to accept when you love your pets but not all and very few dogs are truely worthy to be bred.

you have come accross as a perfect example of what a backyard breeder is, you "own" two dogs one of which isnt even your whole dog you co own it im pretty sure it says. and with your one and a half dogs you have started a website stateing you only "breed" real apbt. the site is set up clearly in the purpose of hocking off dogs, with the "availible pups" section on it. there is a page with your half owned stud male with a "studding" page which im asuming as a breeding proposal[for the fact you claim him to be your "stud" well at least one of his balls is yours.
and they would pretty much pump out a huge % of blue pups, which these days is the biggest money grabbing plight from anyone anywhere who can see a dog as a blue cash register.

so with all those little parameters pointed out clearly id would say every single point that shines out on the site fits into what is classed as a backyard breeder.
sorry dude just telling it like i see it. the site is set ok though!

as if the the times havent changed with the breed.

  13. cool website, your bitch looks more like a apbt than your male does, but i guess looks can decieving, good luck with what ever you do

I said what I said because I know of the blue dozer dogs and how worthless they really are for hunting, he might have hunted hogs but he didn't produce anything worth feeding.
Your dogs are clean so I doubt your hog hunting with them so it defeats the purpose of even boasting about what dogs in the past generations have accomplished if your not doing it either. Conformation is not a reason to breed dogs or weightpulling achievements as those are activities you do with the dogs and does not demonstrate fuction or keeping up with the breeds purpose. Based on your site all it's telling me is that your a color breeder breeding for head size and weight which is why I said it looks like junk.
Maybe you should go to websites like clubbully or bullyworld where they care more for appearance than function. Shame on you for even talking about people who keep dogs on a yard and use chains. Shame on you for thinking your dogs are apbt's!
Seriously there are functional real working TNT dogs and some on this forum just in case you wanted to see what a real one looks like. This is a gamedog site and your welcome to stay but you came here asking for opinions then you get all nasty cause you don't like what was said?
Maybe you should sit back and learn something before you decide to breed dogs and yes 2 dogs don't make a kennel.

Two words...structural...train wreck. Okay, I lied...three. What has made these dogs worthy of whelping a litter? Where are they titled in? Performance or conformation events? Which registry? What did their sire and dam and past family members accomplish to make them structurally sound and worthy of whelping pups? I don't see much of anything other than grossly over done AmStaffs.
