i do, draw the paste out in to a 12 cc syringe, think you should get between 7-8 cc/ml. Give one cc/ml to a 50 lb dog. This one cc has a tripple dosage of ivomec based on the the usual dose of 0.1 per 10 lbs. Don't worry it wont hurt your dog. The main thing i use this med for is the praziquantiel which will get all tape worms even the ones they get from fleas.

I use the Safeguard Equine, along with Ivomec, but if you need to kill tapeworms thats the way to go.

Ivomec will get the heart worms and safe guard will get 2 types of tape worms but not the one they get from fleas. Thats why i use equimax which contains proziquantel and will get all tapes.

My fault I was agreeing with you, and just sharing how I worm. I should of said, "but if you need to kill tapeworms then Equimax is the way to go."

fish tape tablets/capsules are pretty much the same thing as cesta tabs, except u can get them over the counter. the ones i've found are 34 mg capsules. they contain praziquantel and successfully treat tapeworm infestations, provided you get rid of the fleas. 4 of them will treat a 30-45 pound dog and 5 of them will treat a dog 45 + pounds. you only have to give them once, although if the infestation is pretty bad, you can repeat the dose in a week.

Useless wormer for dogs! Despite what you've been told in this thread by the clueless...you're not treating dog for tape worms with Equimax. They just see "praziquantel" in the ingredient profile and think; "hey it'll treat tapes in my mutt". Follow proper protocol if wanting to actually treat something, not what the clueless say on-line.
