good point but not only CH's.Max, Billy and Rex.. There was also Scar Kennels Ch.Max, Ch.Klogger, Ch,Sheena Black and Ch,Jacko others too maybe?.. I only learned recently that Boudreaux (and others) crossed Wise blood into the Eli line with some success.. Can't help thinking sometimes that old fox Ed Reid knew a lot more than he let on :-)

 

The wise blood also crossed well with the neilson blood too

 

There was serious negotiations for a GR.CH.Bill tour of EU, lucky for you boys the RSPCA took him first :-)

 

I saw CH.Bertie.. Would have considered it an honour to own him.

All the old line were crossed into each other at some stage. The early Al Capone/Wise dogs on their own weren't competitive and needed outcrossing. EEK were one of the few that purposely used the Capone/Wise dogs intending to produce show dogs.

Well I agree up to a point.. IMO Skipper is a Kingfish dog, 8x Kingfish I think stated in his pedigree.. Kingfish was Dave Adams favourite dog and considering he also owned GR.CH.Art and GR.CH.Zebo I think that says a lot.. Adams crossed Kingfish with both Art and Zebo and they was successful.. Old Ed crossed Skipper into Wise and Eli/Carver via Texas Minnie and created bombs.. I was around when NKK did their first CH.Swamper crosses and they were pretty much disappointing.. Swamper eventually got bred to NKK's Bushea and 'BOOM!' produced the bottom side of one of the most successful crosses in this country, well I say that's partly because Bushea was 3x Kingfish through Kelly's Spanky.. Spanky's granddad being litter brother to Stubb's GR.CH.Buddy, so yeah! Skipper was a major player in the Reid line because he was a catalyst for other blood to attach to.. Dave Adam's knew it, Reid knew it and it only took me 30 years to figure it out :-)
