yes in most cases ... i would agree with that statement as well.... lmao i guess noone wants to feel second best to an animal.... i feel if you have communication and some love you cant get by anything and the want and need for that person.... lack of communication is a huge no no in a relationship

Then you SHOULD let her go.

I look at it like this.......

Say I was with this chick who loved toy poodles. I mean eat breath sleep and dream about toy poodles. To me they're worthless turd factories good for nothing but fertilizing the yard. But to her they're golden. Her whole world revolves around them. To the point she has no time for US. Then she basically makes it clear to me that her turds are more important than our relationship. How would I feel? To them that's about how it goes. Just think about it, a toy poodle being more important to her than you. I'd split for sure!!!!

Man yardboy, you are hitting it right on!

The fact is, no matter how you love your dogs your dogs aren't the end all & be all & they should NOT be put before a good human. If you think they should be, you're a fool.

Now don't get me wrong, I love my dogs. But I can tell you this ....

    - None of my dogs are there for me when I have seizures. But my husband is.

    - None of my dogs are there to help me up, help me to the bath room, run me a warm bath & clean me up after I've soiled all over myself during a seizure. But my husband is.

    - None of my dogs take me to my doctor's appointments. But my husband does.

    - None of my dogs pay for my medications when I can't afford them. But my husband does.

    - None of my dogs get out of bed at 10 at night to go to Wal-Green's to get some Vicks b/c I have a chest cold. But my husband does.

    - None of my dogs cook me food when I can't cook it myself. But my husband does.

    - None of my dogs call several times during the day just to make sure I'm OK. But my husband does.

I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea.

The OP was a good one. If you have dogs any dog person - man or woman - should make absolutely sure that their potential significant other is into the dogs like you are & even then you should do a triple take before getting into the relationship. If you can handle it, it's better just to remain single b/c you have no one to answer to but yourself & can devote all your time & energy to your soul interest. But if you do choose to take a mate (or phuk buddy if you want to live-in) know that in most cases they'll be there before the dogs will should anything tragic happen.

In to LWG, don't take her back. Stay single. Don't even disgrace her or any other women. It sounds like you don't know how to treat a female anyway. And besides, after you told her to "kick rocks" she probably went out & had her a good ole fashioned grudge phuk anyway & now wants to hop back in the sack with you to give you "sloppy seconds" then tell YOU to "kick rocks." Gross I know, but it's been known to happen!

But my advice to you is to stay to yourself & I agree that any aspiring dog person who wants to devote their whole life to the dogs should do just as LWG said - devote your whole life to the dogs. And you cannot truly devote your whole life to the dogs if you have a BF/GF (unless they are just as devoted as you are).

    Blessings ...

Damn good post, I have a wife and a little girl, NOTHING is more important than them. I would get rid of every dog I now or ever have owned if thats what was necessary to keep my wife and daughter

Excellent pure and simplicity at it's finest ABK, I think some men rather abide by pride then anything else in this world which when a relationship is involved, how do you expect to build something when you are only willing to hear, breath and see your self's needs. To not devote yourself to a woman who is willing to commit to you especially over dogs, you don't deserve her end of the story, but once again good post ABK very good post.
