Why do some of u guys care so much about people that no a bit about these dogs and when the word (breeding) comes up unless it's not urself the master trainer doing it u get all upset and start saying get rid of ur dogs it's not for u ? How u no that u don't see how they are being treated or anything and when money comes up u say u only breed for the money .. Who cares ?? Honestly I no what u mean about people reckin n givin them bad names but come on avrage Joe that loves his dog no matta what breed should be alowed what he wants without u guys sayin otherwise ... Just cuz "he or we" don't have a big name kennnels or anything doesn't mean we don't no how to look after n take care of them f**k me dead

because apbt should be bread for perfomance , the average joe blo will breed for looks..... come on man you no why..... like i said common sense goes a long way....... plus have you been to a shelter? i went a year ago and it is flled to the top with byb dogs.... use your brain

i don't give a rats ass if the average joe wants to breed his dog.
but what i want to know is what the f**k for. to sell them off to the next person and so on and so on.
look, if they want to have a go at breeding thier dog, sure go right ahead, but keep them all, show some form of purpose for breeding them.
ill tell ya right now, someone who doesn't know what they are doing can be given a number of good game dogs for thier yard, make the wrong choice's in thier breeding program and the right stuff you started with is gone in the blink of an eye. so if people think they can breed thier pets to other pets and think they are gonna get superior dogs think again. like i said, if they wanna do it and keep em, go right ahead. but you better give some deep thought as to what ya gonna do with all the ones that don't live up to thier name. the ploblem arising with this is these people see no fault with these dogs and sell em to someone, don't they.
    BIG F**K'N PROBLEM:banghead:

if the dogs dont give the breed bad publicity or end up in a shelter i don't really care. one of the more popular breeders where im from main bitch always had pups with low immune systems. he didnt know any better, he bred the shit outta that dog to people who are gonna breed those dogs and you see where this is going? my best dog has a low immune system and im not gonna breed her bc of it. thats me seeing the big picture eventhough im sure she wouod make some fine bulldogs. health is important. thats one example of what can happen

Of course you can do what you want to. But the real question is, why? What have your dogs done? What makes them special enough to have off spring? If these dogs do not have anything to offer, then you just created about 5-10 new lives that are sub-par. And unless you can take care of them and raise them on your own, you shouldn't do it anyways. If you breed them within mind that you can get rid of them and won't have to take care of them when they are older, then you shouldnt be breeding dogs. Those dogs are gonna end up with some other nut that is gonna breed em just like you, or the shelter to be put down. So why even do it? Its a cycle, each generation will be worst off and it all started with you. You wanna be responsible for 200 dogs with fkd up lives in the short span of a few years? cuz thats what one irresponsible breeding could result in.

"Stupid people" breeding dogs affects all apbt owners, and that's why they are concerned. When someone breeds a apbt, the general public holds what those dog do against our breed as a whole. So when someone is breeding for the money and will sale to anyone, those dogs end up in irresponsible hands. After that, you get situations like the recent ones in the news. Dogs being bred for money are bred without regards to temperament or ability to perform any job, which just makes the entire breed look bad.

Bad breeders are also the main cause of the string of BSL going through the US right now. Responsible APBT owners and breeders do not do anything to fuel these silly laws.

My point is, a bad/stupid breeder affects everyone, so to say they we just "shouldn't care" is untrue. To the general public, a pit bull is a pit bull regardless of who bred it or owns it.

So if someone who is not a "big kennel" wants to breed dogs, they can as long as they have a purpose for breeding and they are willing to take responsibility for every single puppy that hits the ground. It's easy to do things the wrong way, very hard to be responsible.

I will give you a short and simple answer so you can comprehend it.

Breeding this fine breed of dog is a privilege not a god given right that is due to you just because you have two dogs.

i dont have a problem with breeding. i do, but i dont. its like this.

if your willing to take the time to look at your stock, and they prove to be worth breeding, then hell go for it as long as you keep the dogs in your circle
and are willing to deal with the consequences if they dont work out.
if you breeding for a1 bulldogs then thats fine, it people breeding junk is what i dont understand.

and if you need to come onto a website to ask questions about how to do it, then you obviously havent been around the dogs long enought to know what your looking at which means chances are you wouldnt know what to look for as far as testing your stock either, meaning that your pups will be like every other asshole dog in the shelter! if this souns like you then you dont have any business breeding, as your doing more damage than good!

  14. I look at it like this. The shelters are filled with average APBT's, the ones the average Joe is breeding. Unless this a dog is being bred for performance and to better the breed - there is no need to be breeding. This breed is the most overbred by BYBs - don't add more "average" dogs to the world, no need at all.

We aren't speaking out because we have bred grand champs, some of the people on here probably never bred their dog to begin with. Just the fact that someone is actually trying to breed a Ch or Gr Ch is meaningful and speaks a lot of the breader him/her self though, regardless if they have achieved that goal yet. Breeding with no goal or standard in mind is the problem. These comments are obviously intended for those who are breeding with no goals to begin with. Planned breedings in mind for their pups who havent even came into their own yet. The question is, why?

  16. dunga

    dunga Big Dog

know every one here talks about planned breedings proven stock .know really how many people really breed proven stock im willing to bet 70 % of people on this site only breed for paper but not from proven stock .

  17. venom

    venom Top Dog

For paper as in money? or From paper, based on pedigree and being able to register the pups? 70% is pretty high, i'd more than likely think that 70% of people on here barely breed at all and the ones that do are pretty serious or do it to better their stock.

That's me thinking of the real members on here that post though, i'm sure its quite a few people on here who just breed for the hell of it... but probably not your eveyr day poster. Maybe those who come and post, get chewed out and dont come back.

i say breed to make the next generation a better dog than its parents.
keep em to yourself, fix/cull the rest!

you dont breed to better the breed (in this day in age, because any breeding doesnt do the breed any better. well bred bulldogs are a dime a dozen. poorly bred shelter dogs are even more!)

thats why i say breed to make your yard better, keep em to yourself or in your circle.
fix/cull the ones that dont work!

if not, than dont breed. like my pal woody said "not every well bred dog needs to be bred!", and dogs that arent bred well, should not be bred and fixed!

i think he means for pretty papers, and ill bet theres a few here that do EXACTLY that, but its not the majority.

im with you, im willing to bet that the majority of the serious doggers on here breed for themselve and theyre peoples. thats it.
most the other's dont breed at all.
