i have always wondered why people want to mimick the ways wolfs eat in the wild. i personally think i can feed my dog better food than the commercial foods BUT i dont really wanna try and mirror the diet of wolf . The website says when they have wolfs in the zoo they feed them COMMERcial foods and they live longer. Do you guys think raw diet is realloy better than a good commercial food diet?

ckeck this website and lemme know your opnions plz

of course wolves in a zoo will live longer no fights meals given to them shelterd from the elements etc. and not all zoos will feed commercial dog food

raw food is much better. but raw feed does not work for everyone. it is better and cheaper but messy and time consuming. the wolves live longer because they don't battle the elements, they do not have to forage for food eating what they find moreso than what they kill, it is a daily feeding time.
when i had 40-50 dogs to feed commercial bag food was the only way to go. now that i am down to a lot less than that i can feed a raw diet (99%). both feed plans will work great for the dogs, one can just fit the owners life a little better than the other.s

60% of Wild Wolf Hunts end up in failure.
100% of kibble feeds at the zoo they get to eat without lifting a paw.

    Do the maths.

see i am kind of bent on whether to keep my dogs on raw or should i just get a high quality kibble? i for one do not mind preparing my dogs meals. i have a whole fridge full of chicken quarters, salmon, tilpia, mackeral, raw hambuerger meat, beef liver, chicken liver, chcicken gizzards. have you ever had trouble with your dogs and raw bones?

My dogs are fed raw and had no problems other than one bitch who eats so fast that she literally wont chew at all, so she was passing undigested raw bones way too much (some here and there is not a big deal), so i switched just her over to a pre-prepared raw diet since it already has the bone ground. Other than that i have had no problems at all, unless you wanna call more energy, less poop, better coat and an overall happier group of dogs a problem ;).

I was feeding TOTW Wetlands and really had no problem with it. Switch to raw because it was conveinent at the time and its been fine. Poop is still small and hard, energy is still there.<br/>not really messy or time consuming IMO, only thing that takes more time is I have to really make sure and wash my hands after handling.

What food would you like to LIVE ON??! CEREAL, CANNED FOOD, FAST FOOD BURGERS, PROCESSED FOODS?

Or Fresh meat (chicken beef), rice, bread, fruits, vegetables, etc.

Now which one would you think you'd be healthier and live longer, not only that but you will also LOOK and FEEL HEALTHIER with latter diet.

You think athletes stop at every fast food joint and get all their daily nutritients from THESE PLACES????? who will be more fit at any event be it race, swim, etc.

    Balance moderation..............MY .02 cents

i personally do not feed raw and the only reason i do not do so is because i do not have the time it takes to get the diet perfected to each animal specific i feed high quality kibble and it does just fine but if i had the time i would feed raw the quality of feeding raw is better and dogs that are fed raw just look superb
