  2. Good morning Briarpatch! I thank you for sticking around and contributing to the forum by sharing your future breeding with the site. Remember that our board has over 11K members....please keep that in mind when reading member posts.

I personally believe and try to follow the "live and let live" philosophy. That being said, I will share my thoughts in the most respectful way possible. You as a fancier and embassador to pit bull type dogs deserve at least that much.

I cannot say to know anything about the individual dogs you presented within the pedigree. That does not matter since you are asking about the ASSEMBLY of the pedigree. So here it goes:

Reviewing the pedigree I notice that the apparent intent is to bring forth the influence of PR Wood & Wilder's Red Inferno and Red Hot's Chili Pepper. I realize that Red Inferno is inbred on Geronimo Boy (which you mentioned above). If my above observations correctly express your intent with this breeding, the assembly looks very well thought out.

Could you please tell me some more about Red Inferno, Chili Pepper and Geronimo Boy? (Guys and Gals, I am asking about those dogs so please keep any bad comments regarding them to YOURSELVES).

I would feed one without the camelot blood in there

that is right. thank you very much for taking the time to notice.
Red Inferno, Chilli Pepper and Geronimo were all very OFRN type consistant dogs. Good drive and consistantly good in structure. Generally speaking dogs decendant of the Hemphill/Wilder line are great working dogs but so pretty they are mostly used for conformation. I think it gets disregarded alot as a good line because it is heavily shown. I like it because the dogs will have endless heart and look nice. IMO its like the best of both worlds.

I would like you guys to understand that the camelot dogs present are related but not typical of the ones you know about. As I prefer a dog with a lil more body this "old school" camelot will provide that, the OFRN keeps the strcuture tight and correct with nice length of leg. You may laugh at the "old school" comment but if you dealt with these lines you would know what i mean. some people have taken it in a bad direction and bred incorrect dogs with too much size and poor temperments. We all are not like that.

that is waht the line is based on ...big heads and size. there are plenty of camelot dogs around here, they arent the most intense animal in the world, but intense is a relative term.

Big Head and size huh ONLY! really were are you guys gettin that that is all this is about some of us work our dogs and size dont mean much....chilli pepper is a 45 lb bitch, starburst was a 45 lb bitch. Ninja was a 55 lb stud dog, BatGirl was 45 or so lbs Rocket Fire was 45 lb male Kojack and Shredder are really the only two bigger sized dogs in there. They are intense in the right but prob not nearly as intense as a game bred. So what?

all the dogs I listed are from camelot kennels as well. I know what Kenny said about the Duke after he got him, do you think that dog at 20 inches tall looks like he weighs 100 lbs? to me Comon sense would say no way.

Really?? What about the 110 lb dog The Duke, Camelot's mainstay?

Either way, do whatever you like, as they're yours to feed. I agree it'd look pretty nice if the Camelot wasn't in there. But oh well, ces't la vie.

do you guys really believe all the internet stats people throw around? that dog wasnt no 110 lbs. but eh...i guess if you wanna believe it go ahead.

and I never asked for opinions on the dogs ben or CL..I asked for opinions on how the pedigree is put together.

the duke was where it started to go bad. he was taken to some crappy dogs and hence people have the image of the line that you guys are speaking of...there is a menial 6.25 percent of his blood in there so Im not gonna let something so small stand in the way of me producing some good dogs.

  15. Lee D

    Lee D CH Dog

6.25%, but there are dogs in that ped he produced, there is a half brother in that ped that is in there a few times. youre gonna feed them, so i dont care, but the part where it "gos bad" is a big enough factor you better plan on keeping all and culling junk, or the breeding shouldnt happen at all.

That being said, you should know what type of responses you're gonna get here on game-dog.com when you post a ped such as the one above. Why ASK for opinions then if you can anticipate the majority of the responses aren't going to be in your favor? Kinda pointless if ya ask me. JUST my .02 cents.

preme, just cause I am standing up for my chosen lines doesnt mean my skin is thin. i have alot of faith in my vision and my dogs worth. what do you want to know? I will tell you all I can.

again people didnt read the thread or they would have know how to answer...the STRUCTURE of the pedigree is what I was looking for comments on. not the dogs in it. Its a well plotted pedigree that will bring the best traits of the lines foward into the progeny. Regardless of the "type" of pit bull prefered on here, one should be able to comment on the thought that went into planning a breeding without critiquing the dogs or singling one dog out and letting it ruin the whole vision.
