in my opinion what happend with the BJJ is the same thing that happend in the gamedog world..money..in the BJJ today you could be a black belt if you have money we see lots of guys who don't deserve a purple belt they had a very limite level but can buy a black belt.

 

I just love when Demian Main play with those guys in UFC he make them change to all colors

i was watching UFC unleashed last night. demian maia vs nate marquardt. he ended it with a real nice triangle. but he was getting hit in the face and almost knocked out before the submission. it was a good fight.

I have a black & tan belt mate, "Made in China", when the belt you have fades back from black to white you just know you are untouchable and can stop speeding bullets in their tracks just by staring them down!

Hell man youd be so good at that rank you could even snort anthrax and watch Steven Seagal and Jet Li fly out ya nose.

 

when I tell black belt I mean a true Black Belt not those that Gracie(Rorion,Royce and his cousin Carlos Gracie Jr.)sell to everyone cause you could find lots of black belts but with the level of a blue or purple belt the Carlson Gracie School it's one of more respectable BJJ school Master Carlson told lots of time that his jiu jitsu are not the gracie jiu jitsu but the Carlson Jiu Jitsu.

 

Is gracie barra a carlson gracie school.

oh goddamn that inverted triangle was some crazy shit ive done and seen guys pull this off rolling but in a mma match unheard of.... masta i dont know if you know this but the guy that got choked out posts here...lol.... ben i havent seen the whole fight but that dudes face was torn apart and you looked perfect, it sucks sometimes you just get caught...
last night i seen chris price a guy who doesnt have a loss outside of the ufc get sumbitted with a guillotine in under a minute by some last min scrub replacement whos only had one or two fights
i also seen/talked to keith wiesneweski last night,at my teams mma event (im the time keeper,hes a judge)

reminds me of a frined of mine billy stamp hes kinda "infamous" for being like the second guy to ever be submitted by a twister in mma...lol another guy i kinda know did the submitting jason chambers

thats some pretty harsh words, Rorion and Royce have very few Black Belts and are known for holding students back and not promoting. Rorion has started promoting Blacks the past few years but still not to many and Carlos Jr has arguably the best team and has always, Barra is always winning. You're speaking very degrading about legends

If youre a Carlson Black Belt you were at the old school Carlson Academy in Los Angeles? I trained their plenty of times in the mid 90's, Vitor was a teenager, Rey Diogo, Wallid, Murillo, Alan. I had some great times there

I've never been to a school and don't really care about belts. My teacher was a blue belt and really good, go submitted to a guy who was training on and off for a few years. It's all about repetative motion. Train your mind/body to react to your opponent with minimal thinking. The problem lots of guys get into is they panic and try to fight out of something that isn't even there, putting themselves in a worse position. Rear naked chokes are a perfect exaple of this. The guy panics, trys to move, leaving his neck open or his body sprawled out facing flat on the floor and no way to go anywhere.
Belts don't make the fighter, just means they have been at a gym for a while. Some of the best guys I've seen don't have belts, just certificates that say completed 5th year of BJJ.
I've trained in Thailand, Iraq and state side. Most are the same but I really like Thailand (other than the 150% humitidy at 09:00). I show up late to class all the time and just take my time stretching before I roll with anyone. Just remember, don't over protect one side and keep everything tight, no slack between you and your opponent.
Ask War Dogor Nostrom (sorry if the spelling is wrong), here the only people on this website that I have actually seen with credability(not saying anyone else is lying). I haven't posted any pictures of myself and I would like to compete in Muay Boran like my trainer Oh in Phuket Thailand.

 

thats what someone would say that actually takes instructions from a blue belt, to funny. Your instructor didnt want to put his time in and earn being an instructor, got his BLUE BELT (LOL) and started instructing, thats called being a fraud and you're a sucker if you pay him any money. I didnt know their were any of these type people around still in 2010, thought they were all put in check years ago. to funny
