u know in the past when pit was legal. does a particular bloodline/family also have a style of fighting.

for example , most jeep dogs are head dogs.. or chest.

Hmmm... Not sure about that one. What I believe to be true, may not be, but I'll try to explain anyway. I don't think the line of dog has anything to do with a certain style. Jeep & Charlie were brothers, but had differences in style. I think it has more to do with the dog as an individual. You have a whole litter turn out off of Jeep x Marlowe's Tabby girl, but Tramp, Tab, Ernie & Rockhead would each have their own individual styles. What I have heard however, is when you keep line breeding or in breeding the same family of dogs, and sort through a process based on style alone (i.e. head riders) , you tend to get more offspring that take up that trait of style. Not quite sure about it, just a buzz....

While generally I think this is true. I've heard the Bullyson line were generally known as hard biting stifle dogs.

Honeybunch was straight off of him w/ a hydraulic press for a mouth. She killed every thing she was ever matched into. Although I never saw her go myself, I'd like to think she wasn't killin em by chewing up stifles you know? Then in turn, she reproduced dogs w/o 1/2 the mouth she had. I still say individuals. Although a litter is considered to have the same genetic make up, they are all still totally different. The have commons, but no two dogs in a litter ever share the same exact genetic make up, strand for strand in four generations. JMO
