lost my bitch. I woke up sunday morning and she was throwing up and unresponsive, So I go to pick her up and noticed she peed on herself. I take her outside and set her down, she is so weak she falls down three steps and just lays there. She then threw up again and pooped on herself. I thought for sure she was a gonner. I went outside and cleaned her up and wrapped her in a towel to keep her warm and checked on her for a couple hours then she was good. This morning same thing happen but she fell over as soon as she got up from laying down. I picked her up and took her out side she took a dump, threw up and feel on her face at the same time. I'm going thru a hardship at this time and I'm staying with my buddy, he made me take her to the vet and paid for it too. (Great Guy) The vet said it might be rickkets or something to that effect and did the stool float but was negative. They sent me home with some can i/d food and some lactate ringers and some Doxycycline. I'm a strong person but this had me spooked. any idea what it could be? any info would help.

Oh yeah what up bulldog fam. been going thru it and haven't been on in a while but I have been lurking from time to time and I really needed you all today so I made a point to go find a computer to type this.

    http://dog-care.suite101.com/article.cfm/what_is_canine_vestibular_syndrome

There's a chance this is vestibular syndrome. The onset can be very quick. Look in her eyes, and see if the pupil appears to be jiggling back and forth very slightly, but very rapidly. Dogs lose their balance, and can feel sick as hell, like being seasick. This is probably not what she's got, but it might be worth a shot.

Vestibular syndrome could be the reason...
My German Shepherd mixbreed got this in 2006. He "rolled" with the eyes, his head layed wrong, he was not responsive and he can't walk, he just stood wrong or tumbled over.

Wish you and your bitch good luck!

It's like clock work in the morning I have to pick her up and take her to the yard to empty out. does #1 and#2 then throws up if anythings is left in here stomach. Losing weight by the day. IM the only thing keeping her going is the i.v I give her every morning, a 100ml. They did a fecal float at the vet but was negative. This tears me up to see her this way cause I know the dog she really is and she is not even a fraction of herself.:(:( I guess all I can do is pray and keep researching her symtoms (sp).
