Need to get my EBT Bitch Into shape!

Discussion in 'Sports & Activities' started by Little Butch, Mar 8, 2009.

  1. Hello all ;)

I've got a 3 and a half year old English Bull bitch here and She gave Birth about 6 Months back so Is a bit saggy and out of shape.. Not very fit either!

I need help making a 'plan' of what to do, I'm unemployed at the moment so can give her plenty of what She needs.

    Anybody help me out?

    Butch :)

Dont feed wagg try a better food or maybe raw feed after exercise, and a lot of running and sprinting will soon take the weight off, imo better than walking as its raising the heart rate higher burning more calories and getting your dog fit i am not a believer that just walking a dog can get it truly fit.

Looks like she wants a Bud Lite,ok so she don't really look like Spuds MacKenzie.Seriously though walking her would be great. If you get a long rope as a lead the 3 miles would turn into several for the dog, depending on if you have any open fields or other open areas to walk her in,where you wouldn't have to have a short leash.Good thing about walking is it's good for the dog and owner both.Or you could build her a Jenny to exercise her with. How do you like the Bull Terriers?I thought about getting one once but just never got around to it,I always thought they were kind of cool though.

Walking is a good exercise but i believe that the only way to strip fat and get fit which is the aim of the game is running opening up keeping the heart rate high, my bitch had pups also 3 months ago and she is comming into good shape already, i raw diet lots of walking and lots of sprinting and some springpole work.

I have a female EBT too. A very stuborn dog, very possessive as well. She doesn't allow the other dog I have to be in the house. The get into fights because she's always after him (she almost ripped his right eye out). These dogs are very loving but very wary to strangers, she loves only her master (me). To get her into shape I walk her but I also make her run after stones I throw in bushes (she loves looking out for other animals- hates cats). I have her do a

I have her do some springpole (she gets mad after it). I feed her twice a day (in the morning and evening. She's sporty but these dogs have far less wind in them then pitbulls. Their body are not as functional as pits either. Be carefull, don't over exercise her, they have breathing problems due to the shape of their nose. check her heart rate. And hand walk her for 5 minutes after hard exercise just to cool her down. Oh and take great care to warm her before. These dogs don't show hurt, so every day check her body and paws. cheers.:)

  14. Yea She doesn't like Strangers! Or Cats..
