I agree with what has been said already. Like five different foods in a few weeks is enough to upset any dogs stomach. Find ONE GOOD PUPPY FOOD and stay with that. I'm sure you will see results unless there is a medical problem and in that case, a vet is needed. Good luck with your pup and let us know how she does on some good food.

Feeding all the crappy food could be the problem but Metronadozole would be my next step and you can only get that from a vet.

I'd get the pup on one brand of good feed and if all else failed I break over and see a vet.Unless the vet is trying to hold you up he should be able to see a dog for just a few dollars. My vet charges 12 bucks to look at a dog plus cost of meds.I wouldn't be surprised if the vet would give it Metronidazole and Albon but rather than take online suggestions on something that could kill it,go to the vet when in doubt. But,I understand how it is to be broke, best of luck with the pup.

you must admit though....diamond at least puts forth an effort....

you might as well feed a can a corn and a dead rat to your dog as to feed gravy train.. lol

it only cost you 15 bucks to go to the vet? but u cant afford to go to the vet but you can afford to feed? im confused? how is that possible?

look we've all been to the vet. when you buy food the price stops at how much it says it is but when you go to the vet your looking at 15 just to SEE the vet if they want a stool sample (which with the problem at hand im sure they would) is another 5 thats 20 and meds well thats usually about well what 10 to 40 depending on what it is and then sometimes they want to keep the animal over night to see how they do and i just googled an average price to go to the vet and it states :

My average veterinary bills for a medium-large dog run about $80-$120 on a good year with no illness or injury. That includes an exam, limited vaccinations, and an annual heartworm text.

    80-120 for vet
    25 for food
hmmm see why i can afford for more than go to the vet now??

I hate to be blunt, for fear of coming across as rude, but I think it needs to be said.

If you can't afford proper care for a pet, don't get one. I don't see why people insist on having a dog even though they can't afford it. This is to include good feed, training, containment, AND most importantly health care. You could buy the BEST feed out there and if there is something wrong internally, it ain't gonna help. Your pup needs to see a vet. Apply for CareCredit, ask about payment plans, if I were you I'd be doing whatever it takes or give the pup to someone who can provide for it.

When I get a new puppy it goes to the vet SAME day, and yes they do a fecal and all that and I usually spend about $100. Even when the pup comes from a good friend, it still goes. And a pup with diarrhea/vomiting can and will dehydrate quickly.

I spend over $100/year/dog on vet care, and that's not including the health testing and all the extras. Since I show/pull my dogs and they go out often they get two bordatella's a year and a fecal every four months.

What about HW prevention? Do you have your pup on that?

Well thank you for your consern but.... i give my dog all my love and attention and yes she is being trained but for petes sake its diarrhea do you rush your child to the er when that happens? uh .. not in the south you don't you give em meds or rememdies and if it continues then you go to the doctor my dog has had 2 vaccines its up to date on that i havent got hw prevention yet but hey rome wasnt built in a day and just because i cant afford the BEST feed that some of you do don't mean i need to give up my pup im not trying to sound mean but the diarrhea has cleared up since ive given it pumpkin so surely my dog can wait til my bf gets paid im glad your concerned with my dog but shes fine now and she will be fine and shes happy.

I was trying not to be that blunt but thank you for saying what needs to be said. You don't have to go all out and buy the most expensive stuff for your pup but you need to provide basic medical care. It sounds like you have good intentions but just lack the knowledge to care for a puppy. Dog 101 is to have the pup looked at and current on vaccines and deworm. Dog 101 is also not feeding them everything under the sun. There are many things you did wrong with the pup I think (JMHO, hate me if you must) you should get ride of the puppy to a better home and wait until you have educated yourself on how to properly care for a dog. You should also wait till you are better off financially before considering a dog. Why should the dog suffer because of your financial situations and lack of knowledge. A vet visit for what you need is under 150.00 depending on the vet. I think a better food will help but you may need more. You think 150 is bad for a vet bill, what would you do if the dog got really sick? Watch it suffer or take it to the pound to be put down? Things that need to be thought of before brining in a new pet into the home.
Is what your dog has life threating? no but the right thing to do would be to take care of the dog and not whine about a vet bill that is 75-150. Oh and get some proper food in your growing puppy

I'm with gracey on this one. You guys are basically saying since she's feeding her dog gravy train she doesn't deserve to own a dog. Since she is unable to get to vet at this time she came here to seek the advise of more knowledgeable people and your advise is to get rid of the dog. It's diarrhea the dog isn't sh##ing blood.

Marty said to try out Blue (Buffalo). I just figured I would let you know that I have been on it a week or two and am very happy with it so far ;) I'm feeding three dogs on it and it still lasts all right.
I was on Taste of the Wild but it is too expensive.

Good luck with her! No need to worry about getting rid of her just yet  Find a food you can afford and stick with it.

lol Did y'all know that there is an Ol' Yeller dog food? It's cheap crap but I saw it for the first time a couple weeks ago and was suprised :p But as much as I love that ol' movie, I wouldn't feed that food to a dead dog. lol
