Advice for a new pup.

Hi everyone, I am planning on getting a new pup. I live in Europe and I've had several contacts with breeders, more particularly with one. That's where you guies come in, cause I would like you to check his site and tell me what you think about it. Thanks.

I thought you said that you couldn't have an APBT where you live, or am I thinking of someone else?

The first impression I got of the site was, why does he have muzzles on his dogs? Are they HA? If so, I wouldn't get one. I understand the ones getting bred having them, but not the others. Plus he seems to be selling most of his dogs. Is he getting out of the business or are those dogs just not want he wants anymore?

 

those are really nice looking dogs. looks like they are pretty well bred too. I have to agree tho, the muzzles and all the dogs for sale is questionable.

 

I have asked the breeder. I will tell you what he answers.

 

I dont want to trash any dog or anyone but from what i know Mr Indian dog is/was HA and some of his offspring were/are too. If my info is not correct please put it on here and i'll apologice(sp) to whoever is needed.

I live in Europe too and one thing you have to look besides breeder is your country laws besides BSL, for example here in Spain some balkan countrys get labeled as "3rd world countrys" and a quarantine (sp) must be passed by all animals that enter Spain coming from those so gather all info regarding this then make a choice but do not limit yourself to just Europe.

I've imported from USA and the only requeriment was rabbies shot + 30 days that make pup almost 4 months before he can be sent.

 

I believe if the peds are correct, you have a good chance of getting a good dog.
As to the muzzles, I know some countries fight the dogs with muzzles(really would be considered wrestling to me), and if this is so, that is how the dogs were probably ch. from, not quite the same as old school, but you never know.
I dont like seeing them on the net(public) with muzzles on. It puts a back pr out there that the greatest dog in the world needs no help with!!

 

He seems like a Puppy peddler. 7 litters in just the last few months.

Like I said, I am telling you guies what he told me. He said that the dogs had muzzles for preventing kennel fights, he said that he was just selling a few of his dogs (he has around 70). To tell you the truth, he seems really like a nice person. He has been answering all my questions without sounding to hide anything. I doesn't sound has though he is desperate to sell me a pup. Anyway, I am happy to share this with passionate people who do concern about dogs and people. I really am happy to know this forum. And don't worry I am not going to get a pup if something really bothers me.

This is off all the same stuf from Gypsy Jumbo and Thor and all them dogs like the 2 Toms ( Yellow and Black) that came from the stuff we sent over there in the 80s and 90s to Holland and Italy...Croatia...ALL are GOOD dogs as far as the peds go... I dont know about their real breeding or trust value at this kennel since I cant speak too highly of honest European breeders and sellers from my own past experiances. But as far as the web ad goes.... it shows the same stuff going back to dogs similarly bred to Vili and Black Magic even Dendy and Ch Red came from the same stuff...and other EU dogs that came from the original 3 sent over there and kept pure... game and well bred and tested with PURE MOUTH AND POWER. I wouldnt underestimate the possibility of getting a good one from this blood, and the muzzles may well be a necessity because I have seen these type of dogs bred from this same blood and dogs chew off a leash or chew out of a crate or metal kennel in seconds, so they need contained to the extreme like that. I dont know... pay them a visit and see whats up in person and decide then.... thats the best advice I could give.

 

I would have to agree with mr. dogman, you should go check out there stuff in person.
