No one can say because NO ONE KNOWS. None of us were there... He culled in an un-orthidox method IMO. LET HE WHO HAS NO SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE!!! He's a thug. He did what thugs do. You cant take the hood out of the man just because he has millions of dollars. He got complaicant (sp?) and now he's going to pay the price. PERIOD!

    Texasbulldogs states:
"For all you members on here mentioning anything negative about Vick…YOU’RE A FREAKING CUR! He’s not the problem, what he allegedly did, or even the attention his case drew"
    HOWEVER...
the NFL star agreed Monday to "accept full responsibility" for his role in a dogfighting ring and plead guilty to federal conspiracy charges.

Conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and conspiracy to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture.

Vick participated in executing at least eight underperforming dogs by various means, including drowning and hanging.

Vick provided virtually all of the gambling and operating funds for his "Bad Newz Kennels" operation in rural Virginia, not far from Vick's hometown of Newport News.

The gambling allegations alone could trigger a lifetime ban under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

It seems to be the opinion of many that Vic is indeed the problem.

Pleading guilty DOES NOT EQUAL guilty. Also, the charges were conspiracy - something hugely broad that the feds use when they don't have proof of a real crime. Unfortunately, it was probably in his best interests to plead. It is the best route for many, many people who still maintain their innocence. That's just our system.

The fact that Vick plead doesn't mean shit - except maybe that this media blitz will die down. Maybe he did pit bull owners a favor. Would it really be good for the breed to have a year or so of daily BS coverage as Vick awaits a "speedy" trial?

Some of you all beat all I've ever seen......a man is charged with dog fighting/gambling and you get mad saying it is the damn media and the police.
He is testified against by his own "friends" and you say damn his friends.
He then pleas guilty and accepts full responsibility to the federal charges and you're STILL not convinced saying it doesn't mean shit. If there was any chance in Hell that he didn't do it, then with all he stands to lose he ( in my opinion) would have fought it to the end. Did it ever occur to you that he is simply guilty as charged. Once again it's... Don't confuse me with the facts, my minds' made up.

  7. What's eating you? :D lmao!!!!! Well said compadre! Glad to hear likeminded thoughts among so many confused and ignorant statements. I do have to say that it was extremely disappointing that Vick chose to take the plea. It would have been something if it would have gone all the way.

We have to concentrate on Bailey and Self's case now. Now that is another important case. I remind anyone that has not sent in a donation to do so. It is extremely important to win this case. There is a thread on here with several options for contributions.

Well, if he's going to engage in this sport, then don't you think he should be 24/7 hands on? After all, the "real dogmen" did it this way, no? That's what I mean by " if you are going to do it the right way". He left it up to a couple of idiot wanna be's and look what happened.
NO! Given you believe he should have been there 24/7…you must also believe everyone isn’t doing it right. After all many have jobs, have other hobbies, sports they enjoy, etc. Can you name a pet owner that is doing it right, let alone a dogmen? Being you’re typing on a computer, you can’t be with your pet/s supervising them properly-suppose you’re doing it wrong? Sure you’ve stepped out of the house, leaving them behind many times, left to get groceries, etc? Guess all parents are too given they aren’t with their kid/s 24/7. Other than breathing suppose everything we as humans do is wrong given we don’t do it 24/7. As far as the people he allowed to watch over the dogs. Hindsight is always 20/20, don’t believe he or anyone else would have associated and let snitches be in his circle of friends. Is he to really fault for that? Do any of us know how our friends would have responded in the same situation? Nope, only can assume what they’d do or not do and hope we never have to honestly find out.<O:p</O:p

Look, i don't condone dogfighting, but I understand it. Everything else, I'm sorry, but I just can't even think about condoning. My honest opinion.
Is it truly that you don’t condone it or simply the horror stories about culling we’ve all been spoon-fed about it for multiple decades that you don’t condone? As it seems you share similar views as millions of Americans possibly tens of millions. Despite having such a huge voice amongst those sharing that belief, I don’t see any of you voicing your outrage at the veterinaries that kill dogs weekly, the humane societies that do it (a lot of times daily), hell they even showed a dog being killed on HBO’s Real Sports show and I don’t see the outrage being shown from those like yourself that oppose it. Where is the outrage from those like you about the killing of all those animals from these AR groups despite having tens of millions of dollars in their bank accounts? Obviously they have plenty to spend on food and medical care for them. No outrage, picketing, or anything else to those groups and their ways. Could that be because of the warm fuzzy image they’ve been preaching for so long about the animal just “quietly going to sleep”? <O:p</O:p

I personally feel it’s the same graphic horror stories about dog fighting that have made it out to be so “evil”. As we all know and can watch any t.v. show on dog training/behavior and see countless of pet owners with dogs that are dog-aggressive. Surprisingly they don’t feel their dogs are a danger to society. Why is that, if not for the horror stories they’ve been spoon-fed about the APBT and dog fights? Odd how a cable program can show a 30 second or so clip of an actual dog fight legally and without any outrage about the content of it. But no where else in America can it be, shown, if not to aid in the agenda of an AR group. One would think if most truly are appalled by such visions, petitions would be flying left and right in HBO’s office, subscriptions would have been cancelled, etc. Yet it wasn’t because it wasn’t as horrific in reality as their stories make it out to be. But all those people with the same thought process as you will continue to be lead blindly into thinking horrific actions take place, when in reality it’s nothing like its made out to be or nearly as gruesome as they’d love for you to believe. Though if lied, about enough soon it will become true and idiots will start doing it. Job security 101! Then again if they spoke the truth…they wouldn’t have millions in the bank account or a job. How sad would that be for them to actually have to concentrate on fixing their own pathetic lives than worrying about what someone else is doing with their animal.

I am new to this board so maybe I haven't earned the right to speak my thoughts on this but I will anyways! this is in responce to TEXAS BULLDOG:

If your local council was having a hearing on passing BSL Do you think your original post would shed a positive light on the breed?

I realize I don't have a pure gamedog but peaple who don't know any better thinks he is a pitt bull so it is in my and your best interest to try to show him in a positive way. That is why I take him everywhere I go, I walk him 2 miles a day all over town he is highly socialized and most of the peaple who meet him walk away thinking a little bit different about our "vicious" breed. Heck sometimes my cat even walks with us, whigh peaple think is so "cute". When I go somewhere in the truck he is hanging out the passenger window with a big smile on his face.

My point is these are the things I do EVERY day to fight BSL and put a positive light on the breed. What do you do? Call peaple CURRS, justify electrocuting dogs? That is not putting a positive spin on the breed!

I know the history of the dog but here in the U.S it is just that history! things change and either you change with them or you get left behind!!!!

I hope I didn't p!ss off to many peaple here I just LOVE my dog and had to respond Thanks

I really don't think it could have been said any better than this!!! If you are truely for this breed you have to understand, that means everything it entails! I wonder if it is just more pet owners on here..

And the Thug and Hood thing, what is that about??? What if we turned the coin over and said Hick, Redneck, Sheriff, Govenor.. Do we not accept them in this world of dogs? I can personally say I know of one from each of these categories that I grew up with. All with one common goal, bettering what they had on their yard, whether the numebr was two or twenty-two.

The hipocrisy is running rampant, as well as, ignorance. I don't claim to know it all ,but I know better..

You're damn right Ive been there. I wasnt a sheltered little white boy groing up. I know all about the hood. Ive bought my dimes at 45th and Moncreif. Ive been around more thugs and thug types than you might imagine. Im not going to get all into my business (because its none of yours)nor am I going to get involved in anything racist. I know what I know and thats none of your concern DMX. He acted like he was still in the hood. No security. Just hanging out acting like what they were doing was legal. Classic hood dog matching when he had a spotlight on his ass bigger than the moon. I could rip you a new ass right now but Im going to be sociable and just not. Dont test. Thanks ;)

GAMEBREDDJ: I hear you about the way it was done. Beating dogs to death, drowning, hanging just seems non-human. If the dog did not perform, I would imagine there is better ways to 'get rid of it'.

I know/think (Forgive me if I am wrong, but someone said it) TEXASBULLDOGS said something about guns bringing people or drawing attention. I am not a gun person, but, I think there is something called a silencer that makes the sound of a bullet/gun very quiet. I don't know anything about 'getting rid of dogs' due not being involved in that sort of stuff. It just makes me feel for those dogs who had to suffer. Their last few minutes/seconds on earth were total fu$*ing hell.

    Thanks for reading,
    Andrew
