hog hunting in texas????????????

anyone do any dog hoggin' in texas that they went a good ol' boy to tag along??ive done alot of deer,duck,dove,squrell, and coon hunting so im now new to huntin....point being, i wont get in your way.

well it depends on what part of Texas you are from... I live in deep East Texas and know of alot of people who hog hunt. Some use guns and some use dogs, Black Mouth Kerrs* for baying and usually one APBT for catch. Send me a pm if you live in east Teaxs and I'll try and help you out.

 

i live in the dallas area, but i would drive 2 or three hours if i could take a buddy or my dad with me to see some apbt hunt.

 

i just want to tag along and share a few beers. i love hunting and i love this breed. it would be heaven to tag along and see these dogs work

 

how far east i live in the tyler area and got alot of friends that run dogs

 

we have some places to hunt hogs up here in oklahoma as well. my buddy has lots of land with all kinds of stuff there. we were supposed to be getting together pretty soon and go do some hunting.

 

if its not real far away and you have some room id love to tag along if i could, ill stay outa the way

 

Well I need to go down to south central Texas soon for a hunt and a pup. You can hop in the truck as I pass through Dallas. Just stay in touch with BamaBoy, and I. I live in Oklahoma City and Im very intested in tagging along on a hunt. I have a 6 month old (Chinaman/Jeep/Eli) that I would love to let watch how its done....I would actually like to see how its done myself.

My old neighbor trains his dogs for hog hunting. He has about a 15' X 15' pin made outta wood and metal roofing. I watch him a couple of times and he'll put about 4 dogs in there with one hog, one will pin him while the other three bay him. It's pretty interesting to watch if that what your into. I've never actually been on a hunt but I will sooner or later.

 

I live in the Cedar Creek Lake, area and my husband has a cousin up in Seagoville that has a BMC. He goes hoggin' as much as he can-I'll ask him where he likes to go.

Ya know...since there are so many of y'all around here, maybe I should have everyone over for a BBQ this summer! We live about a 1/4 mile away from the lake, and we got a big yard to hang out in! I could install a bunch of setups on our side property and we could all hook our dogs up, lol. What fun that would be!

plus id like it for you to meet my dog, one of these doys when i move back out to the country im gonna get me another and train it to do the hunting.

 

all my dreams are comin true right here on the forum,.....big ol' BBQ,,, tagin' along on a hog dog hunt.....im in heaven....expecilly right now because i didnt get to hunt this year because my arm has been messed up, really tore me up not to get to do ANY hunting AT ALL!!!
