I agree with Goat. The term "Bulldog" is directed to what the dog possesses inside. Not the appearance. Otherwise there is nothing that sets him apart from any other breed of dog.

@tudor and how many dogs have you bred in your backyard or behind your fuckin trailer!!! how many champions have came out of somebodys backyard? a man breeding quality stock is not the same as a backyard breeder he is a peddler true enough but alot of folks live off there dogs one way or another. just cuz a motherfucker done rolled a dog or two dont mean there shit dont stink or there stock is any better than anybody elses. half the MFs who get on here talkin shit are feeding more than one un tested unproven dog that they brag so much about probably paid 1200 or better and is probably a fuckin cur just like the coward motherfuckers who own them that will never find out cuz there so afraid they"ll be disappointed and probably would be.

One of if not The baddest bulldog I ever owned was "Free" from a old timer who just did it as a hobby. Came with a hand written pedigree. Jeep/Redboy. And I've also paid $1200 and got bad ass Bulldogs. The difference I think is the man behind the dog and does he know what he's doing. Price is irrelevant.

most pros breed in a shed, garage, or a back yard. You should know of this on peds online, when Tom, Dick, or Harry breed 2xotc5xgl Duece Bigelow, to 3x2gl Madona or 5xw3otc2xldg Gwen Spark tha Fire - and have the best ultra game gold head silver dick bloodline since (insert dead dogmans name)

The problem I have is dogs being bred just to be bred. There are enough dogs in the pound on death row, yes his dogs look healthy with a clean yard, but there is no need to fill the world with them. Good dogs are where you find them is the most misunderstood saying in the dogs, your not gonna find a good dog out of a yard like that, have to know the places to look to find a good dog. I agree rage. It's the man behind the dog that creates the dog. Like I said, dudes trying though Atleast. Clean yard, seems to put in the back work and research a little. But honestly, that's how I started. I just loved the dogs. Granted I didn't breed often and at most had 4 adult dogs at one time ever. I do not agree with breeding just to breed because what you said about the pound is right. Example I seen Atleast 5 pits or Bullys on Facebook being given away today. I have only EVER bred a hand full of litters. And I mean hand full. Mainly I just enjoy working the dogs. But if I see a possibility for magic. I do it. And make sure they go to the right hands. Hell, I been known to give pups away that should be a grand or more just to put them in the right hands.

^^^^your right rage i guess i just liked the look of some of his dogs and the fact that they came from legit BL i always thought of bona fide dogs being of a little higher standard than ADBA because mostly people who actually work there dogs register with them,

There are so many guys who believe they are breeders it boggles my mind. When we breed its to improve what we already have and none leave. A lot of new guys get their first dog and believe its the greatest dog ever and get to breeding with no real plan. But Thompson does keep a clean yard so I'm glad for that. Quality program takes time, dedication. Yis Ole Man

glory there will never be magic when it's not there to begin with . and what i mean by that is it take a special kind of person to know what to look for in a dog . that person has to have a special bitch to make a dream come true . you can't look back at the way your dogs are bred you have to look forward . if someone didn't cull right the dogs could be out of anything bloodline and they won't be worth the time to see what they are . okie just keep on reading and wait on buying a dog . the more you read the more you will have a better chance at finding what you want .

I'll say it again. The term "good bulldogs are where you find them" should be extended to "good bulldogs are where you find them, but......you're more likely to find them in some places than in others."

Goat, whil I do agree with most of your post. Looking back is just as important as the look forward. Example, to preserve family/bloodline or "type". Otherwise, why do we care how a dog is bred if we only look forward? I myself, even though I've never produced a lot of litters, took both accounts into heavy consideration. I think if we didn't look back and only forward. We wouldn't have half the bloodlines we do today. It would be watered down, outcrosses/battle crosses. Now a battle cross is perfectly fine and out crossing all together is fine. But I believe it's only fine when called for. Maybe your running to tight or missing something you need to introduce to your bloodline. There's another term I just used that represents looking back aswell, "bloodline". Would it be a line of we never looked back? Would a pedigree even matter? I do agree it's hard to polish a turd, or turn chicken scratch into chicken soup. But I've seen stranger things happen. It's not consistent by any means. But even the back yard greenie can put out some Bulldogs sometime out of nothing. I myself have produced Bulldogs, and I've also failed. Part of the chase. Two winners that were very well bred paired together and might aswell spit out ice cubes lol. It happens. The only thing I noticed about the videos ove watched of this fella, he says "game" a lot. But, the dogs are clean as a whistle. So that leads me to think he's basing the word "game" off papers alone. Now that you cannot do. Just because a dog is bred to perfection and has pretty papers don't mean squat. This all I'm sure you know, so im not telling you anything. Just speaking from my own experience.

you should know how your dogs are breed . but if you waste your time looking at the papers after that and trying to breed then your dogs want be worth anything . the dog will carry on the line not the family glory .

I understand Goat. I do know how they are bred, because I looked backwards when I bought them as pups. Now, I look forward and try to improve on what I got with each litter or maintain what I like and what's working.
