  1. my grandad had them as late as 1963....he claimed they were NOT Staffordshire Bull Terriers, that there was fighting strains in Staffordshire that were not the same blood as the Staffordshire Bull Terriers being show on the show bench at that time.he also said, other places had them to.he named a few places what had them...Newcastle,and Lancashire(or it might of been Lincolnshire?)and I don't remember the other places he named.....
all this stuff about Tudor importing Staffordshire Bull Terriers(show dogs)should be taken with a pinch of salt,he may of imported the working strains tho?......but there is no proof whatsoever of this except here say.just a rumour.
Why would he?.by 1960 the American dogs were far better, and he would of new all about the dogs hed either played or played into over the years.so why would be import dogs from a country what had become miles behind with fighting dogs?......

And just for the record when my grandad had them in 1963 they were basically extinct!..as rear as hens teeth so he used to say.

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier on average can not bite harder then the average APBT....not a all.some might be able to bite hard.but not as hard as a hard mouthed APBT..no way.

Some ones bound to say what about this Staff that had a harder mouth then that Pit?....I'm not gonna argue...I mean over all.
    YIS

  2. Was Dibo cold?......I thought he stated up late and became a Champ?!?.....I thought he was meant to have a terrible mouth ,but not only that he could pass that terrible mouth in to his offspring with regulatory......
I got a story on him that says he basically crushed a dogs skull?!?!(fuck me man crushing a dogs skull,wooosh!)...while Tudor watched and remarked dryly,, "I think this dog can bite"....so it says in the story anyways..
And he did make the first ukc pit champ with Colby s Peter,I agree there...
    Sorry @ Dex.

  3. Interesting you should say that.I would of said easier for just anybody to handle in the show ring lol.as some woman can handle dogs....but anyway, don't you ever think to make them easier to handle in the show ring they were quite simply crossed with other breeds.like show EBTs,and show Bulldogs...coz I got a sneaky suspicion they were.you can see the show Bulldog in some early show Staffords I think....it also says in one of the early Stafford books that any smooth coated dog from whippets to mongrels was mated on and registered as Staffords..probably to swell the gene pool up and make more numbers for registration..and to calm them down more lol aswell.

Yes soz they looked different there is a pic somewhere that say the last Staffordshire pit terriers or something like that and they dont look like the show bench ones so I know what your saying when you say your grandads were different

  6. Something like that...and then theses Staffordshire pit dogs would of been bread to any mutt in the hundreds,to make up for kennel club registration.then registered as Staffordshire Bull Terriers..so some of the early lines that were registered, may well of still been good dogs....and that's were the old working lines of Staffs come from.....or came from.

Are you referring to the standards of what a American Staffordshire terrier should look like or Staffordshire Bull terrier of the British Isles?

True but you don’t have to crossbreed to fuck up a line lol so the kc IMO added pug blood in the 80,s

  12. No ,you don't I agree.......
So in your opinion the K,c,added pug blood in the 1980s??

Nope 1960s is when you really see the changes as far as standardisation also a large boom in upper class women showing dogs for fun but they didn’t want them screaming at each other it’s all documented in the club papers of the time.

He was cold when Earl got him from Howard H. His name was Dumbo. Earl knew what's he could do with him. He changed his name to Dib Screenshot_20190417-114420.png o, and yes he went on to win.
