I've been keeping staffords for 30 years, bought my first pair when i was 17 years old.
The very first male was a working stafford known as "Prince" a red dog, although I didn't work Prince he came with a reputation and long after i was foolish enough to part with him i was told by a very experienced bullterrier man that he saw Prince in a match and he was the best dog he ever saw pound for pound, prince would have weighed maybe 30 - 35 pounds lean, the man who saw him in action said > if he could be beat it would take a pitbull that outweighed him twice to beat him.
His words not mine, 30 years later i still have a nice red dog, i don't show nor do i work my dog, he's pleases me just fine as he is, I know most of the men Springview has mentioned in his threads, their all older than me and the likes of Seamus McNutt were and still are the most experienced stafford men in this part of the world.
