What's Cookin?

Last day in Tennessee decided to hit up b.b kings restaurant for shrimp and grits and Tom's bbq. No Memphis in may bbq convention so made the best of it.

 

Greens got that dull color like I like .Mean they got some good fat in them.To shiny means not enough fat lol

 

From the lake to the dinner table. Beer battered Lake Erie Black Crappie. Wasn't dinner more like a late evening snack. I haven't fileted a fish in 20 years. Just like riding a bike though.





Smoking on Billy Kimber and some Cookies.

 

Doing BLTs this morning with organic raspberries for my daughter and I. Just another beautiful sunny day about to get underway. Lots of handwalking to be done today. Jigging for Crappie later.

 

I love a BLT

 

When it's hot out it's hard to make whole meals. We usually just make small things here and there throughout the day instead of 2 or 3 complete all out meals. Summer times we just grab and go for the most part. I love a good BLT and Arbys offers one of the best I've ever had in their signature sandwich series but it only comes and goes periodically as it's a limited thing they do.

Anyways, I found the bread they use which makes the whole sandwich IMO and now I'll never pay 7 bucks for it from Arbys again.

Been living of BLTs lately!(love em).
great food in the hot weather.
normaly have it on toast with mayo,but lately ive been also frying the tomato,only toasting half the bread,and putting the bacon drippings on the un toasted side.
but just a normal BLT will do.lol.

 

Showcase my cuisine skills. Lol I haven't made this in at least 3 years. The mess it makes to prepare is more than I'd ever do to feed myself and my daughter dont eat it so I never make it anymore. Made dinner for my daughters mother since she still lets me pound it out occasionally.

Lol not really but thanks. Most of the things I cook day to day are pretty simple meals. The more involved they become the less likely I'll make it. My days start at 5am and after work and dealing with dogs afterwards I never have the energy to be extravagant with making dinner. A good woman would help but they aren't so easy to find around here.

 

Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork, Coleslaw, corn on the Cobb and watermelon at the parents house.

 

I call this piece, cow in a corn field. Lol

I picked up another half oz of gg#4 today. Ton of this stuff in my area right now.

Man I've never had rolled up ice cream but id love to try it
