Thanks Dusty Road.. I knew Gully was sired by Howe's Bo, but never knew her dam's side was Reid, now I know how she won haha! Gully was for sale around 1989, wish I bought her now.. She was game to the core, came through a war and won.. Salute!

I just remember him carring on about it. I ended up going out and looking at all my dogs mouths. Thought he was on to something since all my dogs had it and are all have fairly heavy shots of eli in them but then I opened up my Yellowman dogs mouth who don't have any eli blood in him and he had black markings in his mouth. Kind of threw that theory out the window after that.

 

To be fair to the dyslexic one. This all happened before he became or started his association with the Limeys.

True, they always tried to gain their dogs an advantage fair or foul no matter how little. I also felt at that time, they looked for as easy a spot as they could find. It’s not a coincidence that afterwards, that people wised up and stopped letting them get away with their strokes. And their highly touted ROM litter started losing.

I remember Ray, Harry, Hugh, Goldeye and John the dog.. That was Limey Kennels.. Big D came along after, never met him, but Goldeye actually had a 22 carat gold eye, looked proper strange man!

 

Ok so it was a combine type situation. I always thought it was just Goldeye and D was just the mouthpiece for the kennel since he was the one that was always online. I think he and someone else started up the gamedog history forums. Not positive but he was a big part of it when I used to frequent it. Wasn't a bad site.

I did really like his Kingpin dog. I'm a sucker for a black n tan..

specifically to be very close to D over there since the pup went to Holland. He used to talk some pretty tall shit back in the day on here. Unfortunately though the dog died around 9 months of age. I was never really told an exact reason as to why. Anyways I got one going to Hungary in around 3 months so I'm hoping it works out, grows up and makes some noise on that side of the pond. Time will tell I guess. Thanks for setting me straight @oldguy. Very good reading here the last few weeks about these dogs on your guys side of the world. It's like learning a different whole new history all over again. Lol.

 

Almost. Limey’s started with Goldeye, King Slimey and the Welshman. With Dirty Harry and Prince Limey joining not long after. A few others over the years use to claim they were partners (& maybe were of sorts) but more often than not they fell by the wayside.
John the dog wasn’t a part of Limey kennels, don’t think he was a fan of Nelis dogs. JTD imported and owned Buck that lost dead game to Ch Gnasher. Buck is the double grand sire of Ch John Wayne.

 

I remember that sight. The dyslexic one use to come up with every excuse imaginable as to why a particular Limey dog lost, I thought he was researching a book on excuses . Don’t think he once gave credit for anyone having the better dog.
