What's Cookin?

Having some bbd'd country style spare ribs with potatoes O'Brian and some cinnamon apple sauce tonight. I also made those brownies and the snickerdoodle cookiebar but I made those last night with my daughter.



Lol looking at this photo got me thinking damn her and I plowed through them brownies. That's a 17" x 13" pan. It's a double batch.



Going to smoke on that bowl of gas as my after dinner dessert.

 

Final product ! Like I said should have caught this earlier and wrapped but the aroma coming from the Apple smoke and the lady got a pumpkin spice candle burning lol not me but the mixture of scents is pretty good.

 

If i ever come the States,,before i go looking at Bulldogs and hunting and fishing.....im coming to see you Bam.for some of your grub.lol.

All the food on this thread is proper awesome top food.

Later in the night i made a steak and cheese..put chestnuts in with the onion and cheese..was pretty nice..a bit weird,but it went down well.

Roasted my chestnuts in the oven for about ten mins.peeled them.drizzeld a bit of seasame oil on them.put lots of salt on them and they seem to taste similer to salted p nuts...

 

Chestnuts are.good roasted and going to taste similar to most other nuts I suppose.I knew chick back in the day who took water chest nuts and wrapped in bacon and cooked in the oven in some kind of sweet sauce and dam if they werent tasty.

good to take out with me for a snack to,thats why i salted them.
i thought they would last a few days but they will only last untill tomorrow,as i cant stop eating them lol.

I wanted damsons this year,but i only picked about 20 the other day.and i ate them as i was picking them-the yeild the damson trees are giveing this year is rubbish...
a couple years ago i picked hundreds and made the best sauce out of them-what went best with duck or deer.or any game or strong cheese for that matter...it was even nice spead on toast with cheese melted over.

Yeah,a bit gutterd this year over the damsons lol.

 

Forgot to say aswell.....
the other night i roasted 3 partirge.
but i dont hang game-i eat it fresh.killed then skinned/plucked and gutterd then cooked...any left i freeze and cook from frozen.so the game takes a little longer if its been froze.
so i work it out at about 1hour 10 for 3 frozen partrige...so i stuck some chestnuts under the birds and they stayed there for 1 hour 10 aswell..
well the nuts went so soft they went like pnut butter man.or chestnut butter lol...
anyways it was nice.

 

I don't know what this shit is but it's straight up fire. Super sticky, very dense. Stupid high off it. Just picked up today.

Nice. I just got a new local strain out here called Los Altos.....it's named after a local park here. Only tested at 21% but it looked, tasted, and got you stoned as hell. Dense purply nuggets full of trichs. Sorry no picture but it's all gone.
