Dry patches

Discussion in 'Health & Nutrition' started by Gina Busch, Aug 11, 2019.

  1. Rocky has like dry patches on his legs like at the joints at the back of his legs. Is there anything natural that I can rub on him to help him with that?

He came to me with these patches at his joints. So it isn't a food allergy because they were already there. Just wondering if I could put like vitamin E on him or coconut oil? Just to make them softer for him.

Missing hair on joints ( particularly contact points with the ground when laying) is usually a sign the dog is laying on a hard surface too often like concrete.

Coconut oil can help. As should NuStock.

  5. Hmm well I don't know what he was like or where he was before we adopted him. He was at the SPCA when we adopted him that is concrete, not sure where he was before that or how they treated him. I will try some coconut oil see if I can get it softened up so hair can grow back.
