When I was younger I lived in Belfast for a while, used to drink hot whisky on the cold winter nights.. Two finger shot of Blackbush, boiling water, little sugar, 2 clove seeds, stir and drink.. Never felt cold after that :D

It is in that same "family" with Irish Cream liqueur, creamy sweetened dark booze useful for a nightcap. I think Bailey's was the original Irish Cream liqueur but there are several copycat brands around today. There are cream liqueurs made with Scotch whisky (Highland Cream) and brandy (Cask and Cream) as well, both tasty. I am thinking of combining non-alcoholic Bailey's coffee cream with bourbon and Canadian whisky, not all in the same cocktail of course, to see how they taste. Crown Royal Maple whisky and cream is very likely delicious.

Advocaat and eggnog are very similar, except that Advocaat is made from only the yolks combined with brandy so it is like a liquid custard. Mexican Rompope is another variation with yolks and rum, and Italian Zabaione and German Eierpunsch both have yolks and wine (ick).

(Get out the late 90s-early 2000s SDJs for this cheap joke.)

What do you call a cocktail made with fake Bailey's and fake Grand Marnier added to a "Rambo shot" of fake Jägermeister and fake Rumple Minze; which is said to be 8x stronger than other liqueur cocktails?

A Bailey's Grand Champion Rambo, of course. >:)

I usually dig layered shots but two layers of Jäger sounds like cough syrup with honey. One of these days I may "persuade" myself to try a honey Jäger shot and see if it tastes nastier than honey Robitussin.

Hot whisky pretty much the Irish version of a Scottish Hot Toddy.. I remember winters nights when we were kids, we often got a (medicinal) Toddy on a weekend before bedtime, only realised later it was so my parents could get some quiet time together, I slept like a log anyway and miraculously around 9 months later I'd have another brother :-/

  15. LOL....pretty common method.old fashioned method.kids can be wild lol.mine are anyway.....ha,ha,!.thanks for the idea!..

    That's a joke btw.
