I got a question how do you feel about the Wilder vs Ortiz when Ortiz had deontay i think it was the end of 7th round Ortiz had deontay in trouble the ref did not have the Dr check on Wilder in between rounds but when 8 round starts all of a sudden the ref stalls the fight and has the Dr check on wilder ? Maybe im Tripping but it seemed a little suspect however it could just me because Ortiz is old and i tend root for the old guy...

Nope your on the money lol. It was even wilders promotion that hired the judges so just a little example of how things seem to get stacked his way.

I watched up to the ninth round last night. I think Fury out boxed him but Wilder out punched him/did more damage.

I will try to watch the last three tonight and maybe that will change my mind.

I'd go with Wilder as I feel you have to knock the champ out vs. leaving it up to the judges. That is not all that fair to the challengers but as the great Ric Flair said, "To be the man, you have to beat the man...WHOOOO!"

Thru 9 rounds the judge that called it a draw was much closer then the other two who were on opposite ends of the spectrum. I do not see it being that decisive for either.

Nothing wrong with your analysis Slim! Wilder got out boxed, Fury got out punched and dropped twice so IMO the draw was fair, especially since Fury was fighting in USA! At times they looked like a couple of yard mutts who accidentally got off the chain, one with no mouth and the other with no talent.. I believe Anthony Joshua will expose them both! Maybe another topic for another day! Just for fun, here's another British fighter who fought the greatest heavyweight of all time (which Fury and Wilder definitely ain't!)

Good observation Dusty! Most likely he wouldn't have made Light Heavy Weight in today's game.. Actually never thought of it until now.. Thanks!

I agree it looks like he would be hard pressed to tip the scales at 190.

    Dragging out a topic......

Just watched the last three rounds.

When Wilder knocked him down in the 12th, the two solid shots, him hitting the floor and being flat out I would have bet just about everything I have that he does not get up.

That was an absolute knockout that was turned into just a knock down.

I'm still with Wilder as I think you have to knock out the champ.
