No matter who your team is in college football , The Iron Bowl is hands down the most watched game in college football. I for see Roll Tide winning going all the way to face the Clemson Tigers for the National Championship. I just don't think anyone can beat Alabama.

I agree Bama is the odds on favorite. It appears they will see another game with Clemson.

If the rematch happens and Clemson plays straight ahead like they did last year they will get scorched again. If they run their sets out of the jet sweeps, heavy motion and misdirection they will put up a lot of points on Bama.

Year in and year out, top to bottom, Bama is the fastest team in the country. They get people to the ball better than anyone else. (The offense has hidden a really good defense this year)

The only way to beat that speed is mis direction. Get them going one way and then go the other.

If everyone wins out I think we will get robbed seeing the Michigan defense against Alabama at 1 and 4. I'm thinking with Michigan getting one more win in the conference championship they will jump the Irish in the last poll to set the play offs.

With all that babbling. It is the Iron Bowl and not to be all cliche-ish, but you can toss the records out the window.

Yep, I think they made a movie.

Check this out. My son and I were talking football yesterday morning. He told me how the Michigan defense was too slow and how the back 7 would be exposed. He said OSU will drop 55-60 on Michigan. He said remember when we said give Urban Meyer time ri recruit speed across the board to play a wider open version of SEC football. He said they have it now. He said defensively they are just not disciplined but they are fast. That is why OSU gives up so many points.
I laughed at the 55-60 comments and we laid $20 on it.

    I got smoked.

It was a few times Michigan looked bad but there were several times OSU looked too good and too fast.

Urban Meyer will campaign them in like he did the last time.

Great games, As Slim said OSU blocked that punt and caught fire. Bama just wore down , then beat down Alburn. The Fighting Gamecocks really played extremely well 1st half. Clemson wore them down for the beat down as well. In my opinion "Notre Dame & USC was the best game and I think N.D. is over rated. They got the W. Imo, There were also a few bad calls that helped N.D keep the ball moving against a team with a losing record that played there hearts out, That's a shame... Jmo.

    I did the same.

It's funny all year I have thought LSU had players that could make plays, just way too conservative in play calling. (Almost like Les Miles never left). Against LSU they put plays in place for players to make plays...and they did. Granted it was because their backs were against the wall in all the OT's.

If LSU takes the OT play calling and runs their offense a little more wide open, they will really make a statement in the SEC.

I'm split between feeling ND is over rated and them being my team and just looking for a spot to let me down. LOL

I'd be interested in the Bama/OSU game or even the Bama/Oklahoma. I think this is one of Bama's best defenses ever just no one talks defense when the offense drops 50 every week and all the back ups play on the 4th.

Big props to the Bama crowd.

The only real chink in the armor is Tua will hold the ball trying to hit home runs. (and hits a high percentage of home runs)

I'm still hoping to see Bama and the Clemson front four (plus the three back ups that will end up playing on Sunday)

I think Bama is way out in front of the field. Clemson #2. Notre Dame #3.

If I pick the 4th best team it has to be Georgia. But a 2 loss team that did not win its conference is a stretch.

Hell of a game .I thought Bama played flat most of the game and Georgia was ready and played very well.Fromm was on fire and Tua was out of sink.Stupid decision from Smart on the fake punt.I think the blowout loss to LSU will probably keep Georgia out.

    Agreed.

The message gas been the 'four best teams' since the play off inception. I'm on board if it remains consistent.

Penn State beat OSU and won the Big Ten. OSU deemed the better team (even with head to head in the equation) and went to the play off round.

Bama did not win the SEC, losing to Auburn, and then that Auburn team gets dropped by Georgia. Alabama was still one of the four best.

I agree that 2nd loss by Georgia will trump the 'four best' approach by the committee.

If I have to choose between Oklahoma and Ohio State I will go with Oklahoma. They play a schedule that says you have to score 50 to win, and they scored an insane amount of points to win 12 games. Ohio State crushed Michigan but took a horrible loss, an actual beat down at Purdue and then needed a failed 2 point conversion to escape a so-so Maryland team.
