    Pretty cool.

The dog must have been there for moral support.

I have said it before, I am a fan of any animal that can do a job/serve a purpose.

We had a local dump years back that had rats that would unload the trash for you. Monsters.

Two minks and a 12-pack would be all nite entertainment.

    Nice video.

Same family. Minks are usually a little bit larger. Temperaments are very different though. Ferrets been domesticated for a long time and minks are only raised for their fur so most say they don't make real good pets due to their aggressiveness. I had ferrets for years. The upkeep is a lot but they really are very fun and entertaining pets.

Different views this side of the pond...keeping ferrets as pets I’ve only heard this last five or ten years....always thought they were crap pets lmao. The hunting mindset never switches off.

  8. Mustilide??.(I may of spelt that wrong).....Badgers,Otters,Polecats(wild ferrets),Minks,Stoats,Whisel,Wolverine,Racoon,...all murderers.all bad bastards.lol....all wicked creatures.

They've been domesticated for about the last 2,500 years. The only time I have ever personally experienced an aggressive Ferret was when it's owner hardly ever handled it. They are very social. All of the ones I've owned would come when called, were litterbox trained and extremely docile with people. They are very intelligent and highly trainable. The only time I have ever seen any of them get aggressive was with cats or smaller things than themselves. Most people who own them would describe them as like having something in between a dog and a cat mentality wise.

Now if your talking about a wild ferret or polecat, then I would agree. I disagree though when talking about domesticated ferrets. I've personally owned 5 myself throughout the years. If it wasn't for them being very high maintenance because of their smell, I'd still have one or 2.

The only issues from my expierence with them is their smell, their constant need to steal your stuff and hide it and their short livespans. They have been very popular pets over here for a few decades.

Went digging through my photo albums real quick and this was the last Ferret I had owned' Chino Von Huntzaratt.

    Around 2000-2001

Was a excellent pet. My kids handled them regularly. Never had an issue with aggressiveness.

They will however, hulk smash rodents. We used to get them feeder mice. True finishers. Lol. Downright ruthless on them.

  11. Ha,ha,!..great info on Ferrets...wicked little creatures...@A.G.K.there aint no difference between Polecats(truly wild),,and Ferrets..the only difference is ones wild ones not...you take a Polecat from the nest and it will be just as tame as a Ferret if you handle it correctly.if you lined a tame Polecat and Ferret next to each other .nobody would no the difference!....
when I was a kid we used to rat around abertwars with Terriers and Ferrets..one of the Ferrets was a tame Polecat..lol.that's how I no there basically identical...@ A.G.K. they(Ferrets)have most definitely been domesticated for the time you said..but you would be quite alarmed at how much Ferrets and Polecats are alike if you took a Polecat from the nest..I believe Polecats and Ferrets come from the same stock...
it's probably a lot easier to rear a Ferret..but if you persevere with the Polecat, the results will(I promise)be just the same.
    wicked little creatures.
    great subject.LOL.

I did not. They were just pets my kids wanted when they were growing up over the years. I've always liked them so they knew I'd say yes when asked. Lol.

Now a days I only keep the dogs, a few lizards and 1 fish. The dogs are so time consuming I really don't have time or energy to care for anything else high maintenance. I'd love to do something like that though someday.

The mink-man has additional segments of his pet minks hunting over ground, ice, in water, underwater…catching fish, birds, muskrats…relentless solo hunters. Lol has to be some level of genetic gameness in the mink displayed in these knock down drag out death matches against larger opponents. Millions of years of evolution and natural selection developed these perfect killing machines.

This is probably why you haven’t experienced much aggression like I said they were mainly kept by people who had a job for them until recently although nice to see they take to pet life.the smell always put me off keeping them that close lmao.
